Heard Senator Tom Harkin saying goodbye to
the Senator senator from Iowa,
Gregg I believe his name was.
Another man I would have liked to have
followed, it seemed.
They are voting now.
Some of the names sound like
out of Lord of the Rings,
Bagich, etc.
Udall here, Udall there.
A couple more the same form different states.

It sounds like he has been good to small farmers
and his leaving after 30 years will be missed.
He sounds like a good man.
I just called his office to congratulate him for his years
of service.
I expressed my disfavor that the #S-510 has been
tucked nearly into the Budget bill that the Senate
imagines is going to pass without a hitch.
It sounds like a hitch is coming up here.

Oh My God!
Now I see why I was called to

It all started two nights ago.
It was the fourth night of Chanukah.
We have a couple Menorah’s here at the house,
but I did not have a set of my own candles.
Shame on me! Following the Hillcrest Farmers’ Market on Sunday,
9 am-2 pm, I had this nagging feeling that I wanted
to light my own chanukah candles.
I went to Whole Foods Market Hillcrest.
I would have delighted to buy the candles there.
They had two kinds. The first sold for $4.99.
