Re: Estrogen Dominance

”Estrogen Dominance and Thyroid
Estrogen, progesterone, and thyroid hormones are interrelated. The thyroid is the hormone that regulates metabolic rate. Low thyroid tends to cause low energy levels, cold intolerance, and weight gain. Excess thyroid causes higher energy levels, feeling too warm, and weight loss. The thyroid gland makes two versions of thyroid hormone from tyrosine and iodine.
Both versions are then enveloped in a relatively large glycoprotein complex called thyroglobulin and stored in the thyroid gland. To be released into the bloodstream for circulation througho ...

Inti- this does sound like low thyroid. What is your Ca/K ratio?
Calcium/Potassium (Ca/K) Ratio:
•Called the thyroid ratio because calcium and potassium play a vital role in regulating thyroid activity.
•Does not always correlate with blood thyroid tests because hair analysis is a tissue test. Often blood tests will be normal but hair analysis will indicate an impaired thyroid function. Sometimes symptoms of hypothyroidism may be evident, but the hair test will show a hyperactive thyroid ratio. For nutritional correction, it is prudent to follow the hair analysis indication.

Hi Ginagirl,
Love your post. So very interesting! This is another slight angle regarding our little butterfly, the thyroid.
One can imagine the thyroid gland as a furnace and the pituitary gland as the thermostat. The hypothalamus would be the person who regulates the thermostat since it tells the pituitary gland at what level the thyroid should be set.
I imagine Iodine as lumps of coal. Instead of electricity we get Tn… t2t
3 lumps of iodine = T3
4 lumps of iodine = T4
So iodine molecules are added to make T3 (triiodothyronine), and four for T4 (thyroxine) -- the ...

Green Tea Might Make Thyroid Problems Worse
”
Because of the effect green tea’s catechins may have on the thyroid, experts at Precision Nutrition, a nutrition- and exercise-coaching company, recommend that people with thyroid-based autoimmune disorders such as Hashimoto’s syndrome, a type of hereditary hypothyroidism, avoid drinking green tea and taking any dietary supplements containing green tea extract. The catechins in green tea may cause an imbalance in their immune system’s T cell and B cell antibody responses, possibly resulting in more severe thyroid disorder symptoms.

I know if your adrenals are shot that has a negative impact on your thyroid function, but I also read if you take thyroid supplements (i.e.armour thyroid) with adrenal fatigue that can further deplete the adrenals? Whats the link there?
Also if bacteria ”supress” the thyroid, is that just the gland, or the hormone? If someone took thyroid supplement like armour thyroid, would the bad bacteria suppress that as well, or is it just the gland?

And since die-off tends to cause Thyroid issue, high thyroid response when your body is overwhelmed by die-off - or even - in some case - low thyroid response when your body AND your thyroid are overwhelmed.
SO here is your answer, coconut oil is an antifungal and a treatment for the thyroid gland.
