The Real Reason why candida sufferers become too thin - s...
by #181877 10 y
View Entire Thread 10
The real reason why we are becoming too thin is the formation of mucus in the small intestine which clogs up the villi absorbing the nutrients from the food.
The mucus is formed because of excess bacteria in the small intestine which irritates the intestinal wall which in turn produces mucus. This mucus provides a nice hiding ground for the bad bacteria from the stomach and gastric intestinal juices.
This mucus not only doesn’t let us absorb the food we eat but also interferes with the secretion of enzyme stimulators like secretin and cholecystokinin which calls for pancreas and ...

Isthe discharge you described constant, as in every day? Do you notice changes in it’s consistency...do you have more at certain times of the month at less at others. There are some good charts on the web for charting vaginal, cervical mucus. Fertile mucus..which occurs around the time of ovulation is clear, strechy very lubracating. Usually fertile mucus alternates with creamy, sticking, or lotiony infertile mucus or none at all during infertile phases. Fertile mucus tastes sweeet as it feeds sperm, infertile mucus salty.

I can’t comment on the likelihood or appearance of ”candida” discharges, but do know that apparent ”mucus” in the doodie region can often be just that...mucus. From a Doctor’s Data Inc. lab reference guide: ”Mucus in the stool [or enema, I presume] may result from prolonged mucosal irritation or in response to parasympathetic excitability such as spastic constipation or mucous colitis.” I think this is a fancy way of saying that, if the gut lining is irritated by physical, chemical, or biological means (including chronic candida), additional protective mucus is released by the gut’s protec ...

Whey is mucus producing
by SqueakyClean 21 y
Dairy is mucus forming, and whey is most definitely mucus forming. It’s not that protein in itself is intrinsically mucus-forming but that the items commonly associated with high protein are mucus forming. I think possibly a complex amino acid supplement would be preferable for protein supplementation at least during a cleanse.
Plus, if you eat mucus-forming foods during the cleanse, the active ingredient such as cayenne is only eating at the fresh mucus instead of putting its full force into attacking the old mucus. Mucus is the response of the immune system to toxic food, trying to pro ...

Re: Kefir for Kapha types?
by Andreas Moritz 20 y
If you feel good and don’t have mucus discharge from eating kefir, it is OK. But if you do develop mucus, also seen in white coating on the tongue, it is better to discontinue. Candida Albicans is naturally present throughout the mucus lining. Increased mucus discharge also indicates candida overgrowth, which always affects the liver. Temporarily, the increased immune response to engulf irritating food particles with mucus may also increase energy. But this isn’t necessarily the kind of energy that you want.

I’m still not sure I have candida, but I’m curious. Those that have candida in their lungs, is there a particular color of mucus that you tend to cough up? What exactly does candida mucus look like? Mostly clear and transparent? Or is it mixed in with other stuff? I’m curious to know individual experiences here. Also, those with toxic mold, what does that look like?
My own mucus production (when I don’t have full blown bronchitis) out of my bronchial tubes seems to be lots of clear mucus, with some stringing yellow stuff. Some of the yellow stuff is amazingly tough and sticky, wh ...

I just pick up neem capsules online or at local healthfood store. The cough I am talking about is one caused by mucus either draining down the throat or stuck around the tonsils and irritate the airway. I’ve not tried it for coughing spasms, just where there’s mucus that refuses to drain, because it’s become infected. In my last bout with the flu, or whatever the heck it was, I had a sore, aching throat and I knew I had mucus there. I had my tonsils yanked when I was 4, so I didn’t have any lymph nodes there to fight the infection. I started on the neem and in about 6-8 hours, I was co ...

When mucus in throat can become a serious issue?
by marieflores 8 y
The color of your mucus in throat is a strong indicator of how severe the health problem is. Generally, thin and clear is the safest, and other colors could indicate a particular infection. Here are some guidelines to know when mucus in throat is a serious issue.
Thin and clear: Sign of cold or allergies, it could also be a sign of medication side effect or a reaction to certain food.
Thick and colored: If mucus is very thick, it could be a sign of dryness, which can be caused by heating systems. If mucus appears green, yellow, or brownish, it could indicate a bacterial inf ...

Hv, I’ve often wondered if these ropes of supposed mucoid plaque, that people have refered to, or have passed, might not be excess mucus production, caused by irritating the villi and mucus lining of the intestine. Or possibly stripping away this mucus lining with strong alkaline or acid substances, or other drugs. I have seen this stripping of mucus lining in the bodies of people who have been on long term NSAID treatment, in these people the stomach , intestine and colon, were often ulcerated as well.
What are your thoughts on this?

I am not sure but I would imagine it has somethig to due with the excess mucus produced by the body. When the diet changes, the mucus is reduced and eliminates the symptom. The mucus while a defense is also a hinderence most people lack the lung capacity to expell the mucus so it sits and festers...asthma, bronchitis, pheumonia...add the flu, and whammo...the state health dept has siad that 34 people have died from the H1n1, and that all were complications from people who had asthma!!!!

That mucus could be actual mucus from a mucus forming food that you had eaten ... acid forming foods first cause mucus in the intestines, this sticks to the walls and is what causes mucoid plaque.

Iodine has mucus clearing properties. I don’t think that once a week would be sufficient to make your mucus go away, in fact you don’t want your mucus to go away. Mucus is the fluid of the lungs, digestive tract, etc and serves very important functions.
You want excessive mucus to go away. If it were me, dealing with candida? and I saw the mucus clearing? I’d start upping my dose, gradually.

Biofilms can definitely complicate the problem as well as too much mucus production. Mucus + biofilm combined can add problems. Thats why i dont like anti-fungal/chemical substances that can irritate the intestinal tract. Seems to add problems by the increase in mucus production. Over irritating substances to the GI tract can cause too much mucus production. The body responds to the irritating substance/toxins by producing mucus. Too much mucus in the intestines or biofilms can act as a barrier for the candida fungus. Making it even more difficult to get rid of.

Hi there
It could very well be mucus around your stools. This happens because the bowel will create mucus when you are heavily constipated to make the stools slipperly so that they move out - so don’t be scared of the mucus. Don’t jump to the conclusion they are round worm ”nests”. I’ve had mucus around stools myself, and it was definitely mucus from long term constipation.
A good supplement to add for constipation is potassium. Potassium assists/restores peristalsis.

This cure came from a Google Search:
It digests the mucus that coats the walls of many people’s small intestine. Certain foods, such as pasteurized milk and many cooked foods, cause the mucus buildup on the wall of the small intestine (raw foods do not cause this mucus buildup). The mucus coats the villi on the wall of the small intestine. The villi are like tiny fingers that stick out from the intestinal wall to absorb nutrients from the digested food, which is primarily liquid. The mucus on the villi blocks the absorption of nutrients from the food. Sometimes the mucus gets so ...

It is my understanding that this mucus builds up in the intestines and becomes what they call ”mucoidal plaque?”

Even if you don’t have specific allergies you may be experiencing the breakdown of mucus in your head. If you have or have or recently have had sinus problems, a cold or just a ”stuffy nose” there may be some mucus trapped in your Eustachian tubes and the drainage of mucus is upsetting your equilibrium from your inner ear. If this is the case, then the dizziness may continue until the excess mucus drains and your inner ear mechanisms become balanced. Since ACV also tends to reduce mucus in the body, it may be involved in the process too.

Mucus is a liquidy phlegm-type thing that varies in thickness, but has substance to it. In other words, you can hack it up and spit it out. You cannot spit out oral thrush. The best thing to get rid of oral thrush is to balance the candida levels in your whoel body, as thrush is just a manifestation of what is going on at a deeper level throughout. Mucus in the throat is caused by mucus-forming foods and beverages, such as milk, yoghurt (+lassi) cheese, meat, fish, eggs, hot spices, especially chili pepper, rich sauces as in ”Vegetable Korma” soda drinks, alcoholic beverages, certain nuts such as peanuts, nut butters, fried food, etc. By ommitting or similar foods you will find the body does no longer need to produce the mucus in order to trap and remove the toxins generated by them.
