maybe you should look up iuds. its not new its just renamed and some are shaped different or just relabeled. if there is a doctor that does not know the damages that the dalkon shield caused they should be fired. you can still look up dalkon shield lawsuit on the web. dalkon shield, nova T, flexi T, mirena, paraguard, copper T even the mirena is different! yea 3 different ones below. looks like they can just order the device instead of the entire package, so i guess they pretend to measure the uterus. even the dose is different bet none of us knew that. i don’t know about the silicon test i was more worried about the barium. the web says it is added so the mirena show up on ultrasounds. i don’t understand why they added barium because plastic can be seen on xrays without added barium. why would they add something so it can be seen on xray if it’s not suppose to get so lost so easily? i can’t find any info on silicon test. sorry don’t worry yourself so much. i also used the mirena and it may have affected me but after 6 or 7 years i’m still here. i know it’s hard to move on when you were hurt by doctors that suppose to help us. i ... 5,105 hits

I am wondering if anyone who has the Mirena, has had any kind of Arterial Dissection. I suffered from a Carotid Artery Dissection 5 months ago, along with a stroke. Right at the 5 year mark for my Mirena. I had the Mirena removed (and have been suffering from the dreaded Mirena Crash, along with trying to recover from the dissection). The no side effects and no periods make mirena seem like a dream come true! Well if it sounds too good to be true, it is. Save yourself from the hell mirena puts your body through. please go look on the mirena website under women who should not use mirena section. it says that if you have a liver disease or a liver tumor not to use mirena. when i had mirena and before that on bc pills i had yellowish skin. my doctors always told me yellow skin is normal. possibly had to do with my liver? now that i am no longer on bc of any kind my skin is very white. please, please look into it further. it seems women from all educational backgrounds and all wallks of life have been deceived by their doctors. they treat mirena like it is a god. i do realize some women do not have a ... 4,003 hits

Be very careful!!! I never had an ovarian cyst before Mirena. One of Mirena’s adverse effects is precisely ovarian follicle enlargement. Now I have one and also crazy ovaries overworking!!!! I had an attack while on Mirena that consisted of tingling hands and legs that turned numb, heart racing/palpitations, chest pressure, and extreme anxiety since I was convinced I was having a heart attack. I went to the ER and the docs said I was having an anxiety attack. The ER doc put me on a tranquilizer what a joke. I have never had any problems that way ever! I don’t know about the whole twins thing, but I heard it’s really easy to get pregnant after having mirena removed too. When I told my doctor about all the spotting with mirena in, he suggested gettin on the pill while having mirena in as well to help control my periods. I told him to just take the mirena out and I would get on the pill. He agreed and just told me to be really sure to take the pill correctly or I would get pregnant. 17,844 hits

Also, if you go to www.mirena-us.com and look under the physicians info, on page 5 you will see back pain and nausea listed as side-effects reported by 5% or more of women. I wonder if Mirena also caused an infection and that’s why you had the fever. The other symptoms of blurry vision and the tingling seem more indicative of an auto-immune reaction, possibly to the silicone in Mirena. Again, good luck ! 1,662 hits

I think it is pretty insulting to imply or rather SAY that womens ’symptoms’ are related to their diet, age, or lifestyle, or they probably have some undiagnosed disease, and that people shouldn’t blame it all on Mirena. These women aren’t idiots and hopefully neither are their Dr’s. WE all know that Mirana is destroying a lot of womens health and lives, besides our own. (Is this person a sales rep for Bayer or something and works off commission maybe?) I wouldn’t be surprised if this rfblm6 person works for mirena because this isn’t the only post they posted about it not being Mirena’s fault. I already responded to them in a previous post. I would disreguard everything they have to say because if they have gone through it they would KNOW this is caused by Mirena and at the very least Mirena helped kick up these different issues and diseases. My daughter just had her 5th miscarriage after using mirena...she had a healthy and non eventful first pregnancy before she used mirena and has a 4 yr. old daughter, thank god. After using the mirena for only 18 mos. during which time she had horrible acne, she became pregnant with no problem after having the mirena remove....she never made it past 12 weeks for the first 4 pregnancies.
