Re: What You Never Hear About Vasectomy
by adamson77 16 y
curezone has a piece of a page and they are not even complaints about vasectomies. since the 70 and 80s women have been damaged by iuds and they are still on the market, so take a chance, we do everyday and now its your turn. the iud was renamed mirena and given out all over again after deaths were reported about the dalkon sheld and infertility. a piece of a page does not compare to these 36 pages of complaints about this 1 freaking birth control. women are told this crap is safe everyday, its time for you to take that chance.

CAN THE IUD AFFECT A WOMAN’S HEALTH?
Yes. The IUD can be a cause of serious complications which include hemorrhage, pelvic infection, and perforation of the uterus. These may produce sterility. Major surgery may be required in some cases and death may follow in a few.[10],[11],[12] An IUD manufacturer’s booklet for patients lists 31 possible adverse reactions from its IUD.[13]

Urine Therapy and IUD
by Baddie24 10 y
Hi all,
I’ve started urine therapy within the past week for the general health benefits of it. I am not trying to cure any particular ailments.
I also have a hormonal IUD for birth control and I was wondering if the urine therapy will effect my iud, and vice versa?
I know that it’s generally advised not to use birth control with urine therapy but I’m thinking that it might be okay with an iud because of how it works. IUD’s release such a small amount of hormone that it doesn’t get released into my blood stream and effect the rest of my body. Therefore, I shouldn’t be consuming extra ...

infection within 24hrs
by adamson77 16 y
It is not known fully how IUDs work. They are thought to prevent conception by causing a brief localized inflammation that begins about 24 hours after insertion.
This causes an inflammatory reaction inside the uterus that attracts white blood cells. The white blood cells produce substances that are toxic or poisonous to sperm. The progesterone-releasing IUDs cause a subtle change in the endometrial environment that impairs the implantation of the egg in the uterine wall. This type of IUD also alters the cervical mucus, which, in turn, inhibits sperm from passing through the cervix.

Intrauterine Device(IUD)
The ”modern” IUD has been around since the early 1960s when the first plastic devices became available for the sterile insertion of a plastic or combination plastic and metal device into the uterus. These IUDs were in widespread use for about 15 years.
All of that changed with the 1970 introduction of the Dalkon Shield—an IUD introduced with the purpose of lowering the spontaneous expulsion rate associated with some of the earlier models. In 1973 the first reports began appearing associating the Dalkon Shield with an increased rate of pelvic infection. Desp ...

Because I had to goto the ER a week or so ago for heavy bleeding for over a month and a half (without an IUD) and they told me that if I had gotten the IUD because I was already anemic, i probablly would have been getting a blood transfusion because the IUD causes many to bleed heavi;ly for a really long time and therefor leading to aniemia. The What, the Why, the Where, the When, and the How-to: An IUD (intrauterine device) -- sometimes also called an IUS or IUC -- is a small device which is inserted into the uterus, through the vagina and cervix by a sexual healthcare provider, and which remains in the uterus until removed. Believe it or not, it’s still a bit of a mystery as to how and why IUDs work, but we know for a fact and through a lot of study and use that they DO work, and are incredibly effective. But basically, an IUD give sperm the message that there’s no vacancy in the uterus, so there’s no sense in them trying to ...

Increased menstrual bleeding, often with pain, is the most common problem of IUD use and the most common medical reason for removing IUDs. In clinical trials about 4% to 15% of women stop using IUDs for this reason within a year after insertion. Percentages are usually higher for the Lippes Loops and other unmedicated devices than for copper IUDs.
Older women and women with children generally have lower rates of removal due to bleeding and pain (332, 463). The kind of counseling and support women receive and their attitudes toward using IUDs also influence rates of discontinuation due to ...

you suppose to have an infection

Dr. Hilgers noted several possible explanations for the IUD’s birth control effects including uterine contraction, chronic infection, and production of antibodies which may literally destroy the new life when it enters the uterus.[7]
The IUD does little or nothing to interfere with sperm migration or fertilization (conception). It achieves its birth control effect primarily by preventing the newly conceived human life from implanting in the uterine lining (endometrium) and is thus an abortifacient.

MOST women experience decrease in period blood flow, and decreased cramping with their period after several months. Ask your Doctor about it.
