I need to know at what stage the worms are actually killed by the Vermox. From what I understand, after hatching from the egg the larvae molt 2 times before becoming adults but I haven’t found out how long each of these stages last and just when and what stages are killed by Vermox.
But, there HAS to be some time from when the Vermox kills the new adults to them being ready to lay eggs. I don’t know if Vermox kills the larvae.

Day 2 Vermox for pinworms. Hi everyone, just wanted to give an update. I have decided to treat with Vermox first and if that does not work I will use the Valbazen. I’m taking 200mg twice a day for 3 days with a 7 day rest then repeat. I wanted to do it for a week but I am waiting for more Vermox to arrive. I started my treatment in the evening about 6. That night I woke up about 3am with the notorious pinworm itch but this time it was more intense. Took my next one 6am felt some of those slight itches that morning which I’m sure were the retros. That afternoon about 3p I got some gas. The ...

Thanks DariushSweden.
Is it normal that even now, day 4 on Vermox, these bugs are still active? I thought the adults would all be dead by now.
I’m afraid to stop the Vermox in case it hasn’t killed the adult pin worms and things get worse.
Can you please explain what is the difference between Vermox and Albenza? Am I correct that Vermox only works in the bowels and Albenza is systemic? Is Albneza harder on the liver than Vermox?
I still have to order the Albenza so I won’t have it for 2 - 3 weeks. What do you think I should do now? I don’t want to make things worse! My poor butt ...

HI. I recently got diagones with ascaris and got a prescription of vermox. I have the first six pills and im no waiting for 14 days to pass so i take the next six pills.
I have no idea how long i had this.
I was in Egypt last April and wondered if i had gotten it there . But last summer my kids had threadworms and we all took vermox. I didnt notice any roundworms then. A few weeks ago my kids got threadworms again. So we took vermox again. One day after the last dose of vermox a big ascaris came out of my butt. Well after taking half dose of paragone for a week, I noticed what appeared to be a few liver flukes/ a few larger white worms.. I then switched over to vermox and immediately noticed that my stomach does not bloat up anymore and I seem to have lost 8-10 pds.
now i took 2 pills of vermox a day for 3 days.
I have not seen any other white worms, but my stomach bloating has improved immensely.
How long does it normally take to see results with vermox??
Should i switch back to low dose paragone while im on my 2 week vermox break?

Vermox for ex-pats in Mexico
by Pacifico 15 y
Just discovered this forum and realized the necessity of taking Vermox if you live in Mexico and dine on fish tacos. I purchased a box which only contained one 500 mg tablet. Yet I keep reading about ”day 3 of Vermox” on this forum.
The Vermox site recommends one dosage of 500 mg and a follow up 3-4 weeks later, if necessary. What dosage are you all taking over three days?
P.S. You can buy Vermox OTC if you cross the border (contrary to popular belief, you won´t be beheaded by the drug cartels) or simply find a Mexican store in your vicinity.

Hi,
Yes the pinx is OTC. The vermox is by prescription. You can also buy it overseas, the vermox. I bought the tapeworm meds overseas. Vermox and pinx are for roundworms only.
The vermox DIDN’T work for my daughter. It just made them sick enough to let go and be expelled with the BM.
I did do the pinx again just recently. They now have Paranil Jr, so I am going with that next to see how it works for her.

So i read somewhere that when youre on vermox you should chew the tablets and have a diet with lots of fat like icecream and so on. Hey, looking for feedback here.
I have unidentified parasites that come out when I use wormwood and blastocystis hominis.
In the past I’ve had multiple issues with the parasite treatment being too difficult which has lead to stopping the treatment before it was finished. (Due to toxic overload, fainting & being really sick).
Here is my new tentative plan, what do you think?
Day 1 Vermox (mebendazole)
Day 2 Vermox (mebendazole)
Day 3 Vermox (mebendazole)
Day 4 Day or two break to stabilize (Don’t push if I feel crappy. Take a day or two)

Re: treating pinworms vermox anyone?

Yes, Vermox (a brand name of Mebendazole) appears to be a standard prescriptive med for pinworms. Pyrantel Pamoate (Antiminth and Combantrin brands) is also effective. Piperazine and Pyrvinium are less effective against pinworms.
From link #1: ”Adults and children 2 years of age and over: Dose is 100 mg once a day for one day. Treatment may need to be repeated in two to three weeks.”
”Children up to 2 years of age: Use and dose must be determined by your doctor.”
Vermox appears to be an interesting drug in that the doses for children and adults are the same. From link #3: ”Vermox ...

But 1,5 month ago I started to cleanse from parasites, that’s what i’ve taken:
(no asthma and cough at that time)
1. Vermox - mebendazole (All symptoms have gone for week)
2. Polish Monk’s Mixture (Since then I’ve started coughing)
3. Zentel
4. Vermox
5. Zentel (cough almost gone)
Maybe Mixture activates some cleanse process... but I must to know what’s that :/

Two Questions about Curing Tapeworm
by #17965 16 y
I noticed your posts about using Praziquantel to eliminate tapeworm, and now I see your post here about curing parasites using:
pinworms: vermox
toxocara: vermox, albendazole, fenbendazole
liver flukes: fenbendazole, humaworm
tapeworm: coQ10 megadose 4000mg/day for 4 days
Did the Praziquantel not work?
Second question: Do you know -- by killing the tapeworm, will that release other parasites into my body as the tapeworms die and disintegrate?
Thanks very much!

The first time I was prescribed Vermox it was at the pinworm dosage. I had ZERO symptoms of pinworm. So just because that’s what a doctor prescribes is kind of meaningless...

Vermox didn’t work for me either. You have to use a scattershot approach: I wound up using pyrantel, Vermox, niclosamide, albendazole and praziquantel.
I believe that albendazole was what worked for me in the end, since the moving in my heart/gut area stopped after the first day I added albendazole (in liquid form as Valbazen).

Mebendazole methyl (5-benzoyl-1H-benzimidazol-2-yl)carbamate

Ok, I stopped after 8 days of Vermox. I am feeling them 2 or 3 times a day - so more after 2 days off the Vermox, sigh.
But this may be due to 3 things:
1) they are still exiting after being starved by the Vermox
2) they are regrouping in full force after the Vermox, so the eggs that I contaminated myself with over the week are hatching and growing, or the worms that did not get killed are developing. On the plus side, there has been no stin ...

Not long after taking the Vermox, I took Diatomaceous Earth (which isn’t supposed to be any good for flukes) and expelled one rather explosively. Just before that nasty, I did the same with a couple of 4 inch worm casings. Seems my body really wanted to get rid of these things.

Well, identification is key, that is where I would start. Vermox is not Flagyl so no worries there, two different drugs. Many people report bad things with Flagyl, it can have nasty side effects. All reports I have seen on Vermox have been positive, for some reason people report feeling good on this drug. Although I do not think Vermox is indicated for flukes but probably would be worth trying.
You might want to look at MMS, there have been several positive reports on expelling flukes.

Check out ICU’s protocol for systemic roundworms. If you are seeing some relief with a 3 day treatment from Vermox then you can probably get healed with a full real treatment.
First line: take 500 mg Vermox a day for 3 weeks. 250 mg at night, and 250 mg morning. With fatty meal, pill well chewed. Order from vrdrug.com
Take it for 3 weeks.
If that doesn’t do it, go to Valbazen and Ivermectin. Ask on forum about it. Take Valbazen for 2 weeks with 4 days of Ivermectin per week. One week Vermox. Repeat with Valbazen and Ivermectin.
ICU’s protocols say where to order from.
