Re: Boron/Borax Questions *edit*

have also been researching boron/borax found that there is an outlet of huldaclark products that sell boron and borax.
i’d be a bit skeptical about ingesting the 20 mule team borax as their website says that the 20 Mule Team Brand [4 lb 12 oz box] BORAX Borax Powder is marketed by Dial Corporation as a ”laundry booster.”-- [you know how sleepy bearucracies and big company marketeers can get (if you get my drift), especially if they would be selling products that are not made for human consumption]. *edit*

Protect’s you from Fluorides. Borax protects against the accumulation of fluorides in the body; is effective as an antidote in fluoride toxicity; and can remove fluorides from the body. (1,2,3,4,5)

Did Charles hakala test with boron, or borax? I read somewhere that the correct form of boron is in borax as ionic boron, and that chelates boron is bound too tightly to be separated and will not bind with fluoride. I’ve also read that the borax is converted to boric acid by stomach acid and that boric acid bonds with fluorine to form fluoborate. I read that on earth clinic. I would also really like to know if borax really works I wish someone would analyze urine after ingestion to check for boron fluoride compounds

Re: Question: Has Boron actually cured joint pain?

I think it is a very simple question.
1) Joint pain before taking Boron or Borax and
2) joint pain gone after taking Boron/Borax.
I am not looking for a debate.
I am looking for testimonials on Borax or Boron related to joint pain and nothing more.
Since this forum has been recommending Boron/Borax for years, this is the best forum to ask.

I almost forgot borax. Start with the smallest possible pinch (a few grains) of borax in a cup of warm water. It kills fungus in you body. If you have fungus you will have a very strong reaction to borax so start small. Borax gave me major relief of chronic fatigue.

I’m taking 300mg Borax in the morning and 700mg before bed.
It works far better than just 300mg in the morning.
These equal:
300mg Borax = 33mg Boron
700mg Borax = 77mg Boron
Total = 110 / Day.
The extra 700mg Borax at bedtime is reducing my liver pain due to previous damage whereas only 300mg in the morning was having little effect.

Re: Bromide Test Results

Its really quite simple, for anyone that has ever read mining reports the first thing you find out is that grades change and pollutants differ from one area to the next.
Don’t care if you are mining Epsom Salt or Borax that same thing is in effect. NEVER use non USP Epsom Salt unless you feel lucky and never internally use non USP Borax.
After reading the homeo for Borax I would be more worried about Borax than Epsom Salt it has a higher infinity to bond with a positive ion charge to many more minerals.

I’ve been taking borax for about 5 years similar to Ginagirl. I started using it, together with high dose lugols iodine, amongst other things, to get rid of my systemic candida problem(successfully gone now). I took the borax as borax water -- 1/8-1/4 tspn borax(sodium tetraborate) dissolved in one litre of water. Then I would add my daily dose of high dose lugol’s drops into the borax water and drink that liter throughout the day. Works well, spreads the dosages safely throughout the day and I would always take a rest from the borax/iodine water at the weekends..

Re: Boron dosage revisited
by elgeneral 12 y
Your calculations are wrong. They assume 1 tsp borax = 1 gram borax. This is wrong. 1/4 tsp borax = 1 gram = 1,000 miligrams. Therefore, 1/8 tsp = 500 mg borax. 500 * .113 = 56.5 boron. So, 1/8 tsp borax provides 56.5 mg of boron. These are the rough measurements provided in the Walter Last article that started the whole borax thing and seems to be based on serious analysis. I’ll go by them. Thanks,

Borax
by Ginagirl 11 y
”In some countries such as Australia, New Zealand and the USA, you can buy borax in the laundry and cleaning section of your supermarket. Brand Names: Boraxo (USA, Mexico), Hovex (Australia). I have heard that 20 Mule Team (USA) is now scented - if it has an added smell, it is obviously not pure. You can also buy boron tablets online.
You may be concerned about the warnings on borax containers and some of what you read on the internet. However, borax’s toxicity is less than that of sodium chloride (salt).”

Boron dosage revisited
by jam1 13 y
View Entire Thread 6
I have read that the dosage of boron in the form of borax is about 1/8 teaspoon to 1/4 teaspoon. However according to my calculations:
1/8 teaspoon = 0.625 ml
0.625 ml of borax = 0.625 x 1.73 (density of borax) = 1.08g of borax
1.08g of borax = 1.08 X 0.11 (percentage of boron in borax) = 0.12g of boron
And 0.12g of boron is 120mg of boron. And I have read that the daily intake should not exceed 18mg.
Unless my calculations are wrong, 1/8 teaspoon is still way higher than the recommended dosage.
Any thoughts?

Re: Problems with Borax
by Ginagirl 14 y
Boric acid is borax and suphuric acid mixed; I would not take it iternally!
To avoid nausea take borax in capsules and ascorbic acid as capsules or powder at the same time.
I found water with borax quite sickening myself so I used to put a drop of lemon essential oil in it, but now I dont bother to take it in water anymore; capsules are much more convenient.
A case I have (boy 10 years) take a borax tea every night; that is his daily dosage of borax, taken in his evening tea. Juice is also an option; but it is wise to dissolve the borax in a tablespoon of hot water first.

borax combined with iodine, of course; as some of these symptoms may be bromide related. Iodine without the borax never had that effect.
My eldest son was one of the cases, he had a problem with pain and frequent urination from he was little. I tried everything. Iodine / company did not help. Borax helped almost over night.
After a couple of years he had a revisit, this time borax did not help until I added a good portion of magnesium.
He was then exercising heavily; so I found out it was a magnesium deficiency behind it also.
Now he get a borax capsule once a week or so. Maintenance.

There is no issue with borax as laundry soap etc.

as i noted above there is a big difference between borax (sodium tetraborate) and boron sold as a supplement. it would be much smarter to take chelated boron than it would to take borax. chelated minerals are rapidly taken up by the body. borax is mined, its an inorganic mineral salt. have you not ranted about not taking inorganic minerals? or have you changed your tune on that one now?
boron is not the same as borax. borax works well as an insecticide, and could be used in the garden and the soil, but for internal use i would keep to boron chelated to an amino acid.

no, but isn’t henna supposed to kill lice? maybe do an extra henna treatment. I’m glad you are not using the otc medicated stuff, it is super nasty and highly toxic. I’ll bet borax would kill them too. I would do a strong borax soak. i wash my hair with borax all the time, about a tablespoon dissolved in very hot water, total water about 8 ounces and then rinse with water with a bit of citric acid. I don’t think borax will hurt your hair at all, though I do find the borax and citric acid combo lightens my henna.

Boron is an anti fungal. You can get the boron from taking borax. Borax dissolves best in hot water. So dissolve the borax in hot water first before adding it to your shampoo.
Of course you can always add potassium iodide to your shampoo, but it then depends very much on how long you let the shampoo sit on your scalp. It you wash and rinse fast, stuff hardly has the time to be absorbed into the skin.
