For Bemmer: Blasto (Blastocystis) program
by north 18 y
View First 20 Messages of 31
Hi Bemmer, I saw that you are planning on doing the special antibiotic protocol for blasto. Here is some advice that I have found from various people on the Internet on this program: (I have not yet done it myself)
- Some advise to take a strong laxative the day before starting the antibiotics, to get rid of some of the blasto (what is contained in the stools) and give the antibiotics access to the blasto that is more stuck to the intestinal wall (since stool is not so in the way the day you start the antibiotics)
- Some say to follow a low carb diet while on the antibiotics, to fur ...

Hi from Australia Shroom
I noticed your making mention of 'ringing in ears' in a forum post. I have this, tinitus. I was wondering what light you can shed on a possible Blasto link with what I thought was tinitus. I have Blasto. My girlfriend also has Blasto, and she's just started hearing ringing in her ears too, on and off.
Did you manage to clear your parasite?
Thanks Calum

Blasto is a protozoa parasite so it cannot be seen with the naked eye, must be viewed under the microscope.
Based on the image, it does look like mucoid plaque. Nematodes (worms) are not related to blasto. Nematodes can be seen with the naked eye and have distinct shapes (tapered head or tail, they are consistent in their shape meaning they are cylindrical.
Did you talk to your doctor about treatment for blasto?

On Blastocystis:
things that I and many of the people on badbugs.org had previously tried that failed to eliminate blastocystis: oregano oil, colloidal silver, garlic, olive leaf extract, zapping, peppermint oil, black walnut, artemesia, gentian, Dr. Clark products, wormwood. Also various diet regimes. Thus, Badbugs.org has a prescription antibiotic program that I”d like to try, since all of these non-prescription products did not help.
Ive edited my post: at one time this message had my thoughts on trying a special liquid diet while taking anti-blasto or anti-parasite products, but ...

Blasto is nasty. Too many reports of healthy people contracting this and falling so ill. I have an outside forum that deals with protozoa infections at pptu.lefora.com
you are welcome to the information there but I would also suggest badbugs.org. badbugs have specific information on blasto whereas pptu forum deals with some blasto but other treatment strategies.
There are very few reports of eradicating these with non-pharma agents - typically you are relegated to using what they term a triple drug therapy. There can be failures with this since blasto has many subtypes which resp ...

What will you do about Blasto? Will you take the trio of drugs Jackie recommends on the badbugs site? What about good old Clarkia which is what everyone used to recommend on this site until Humaworm took over. Did you ever take it? Clarkia I mean? Hi there
It would be great to know how you found this out and if it is a cure or just reduces the blasto. I was diagnosed with Blasto last year and became very ill. Although my docs didn’t believe the blasto was the cause I’m pretty convinced that it was. I took metronidazole just to ”rule out” any parasitic infection according to my docs and the blasto is apparently gone now according to stool tests; however, I believe it is still there just in reduced numbers as I have had continuing nausea for almost a year. I now understand very well why Flagyl / Metronidazole is USELESS to beat Blastocystis. Flagyl only kills the adult trophozites, and doesn’t kill the cysts/granules. In fact, it actually CAUSES the blastocystis to go into defense mode, and curl up into a cyst/granule, ...

A study has shown that those with symptomatic Blasto have a strain with an attribute that is not present with those who are asymptomatic. So, confusion in the medical community as to the seriousness of this may be the result of responses to different strains of Blasto. Further, there are many strains and infection has been shown to migrate not only between humans but between species, as well. B. Ratti (a strain found in rats), for example, is able to be transferred to humans.

Regarding blasto, it depends who you talk to, there is conflicting information. Read Ken Boorom’s newsletter. There are many sub-types of blasto, meaning that some are pathogenic while others are not.
My guess is the mucoid builds up over time, I would guess that is comes from immune/inflammation activation. The gut has most of your immune system (70%), for good reason since it is the most susceptible to infection.
A note for all of us, practice
safe hygeine, wash all fruits and vegetables and cook to safe temperatures.

It’s not that the Blasto is pathogenic, it’s that the body, for some reason allows the protozoa to over-populate. Plus there seems to be bacteria which tend to come with it.
Again, it’s a matter of dysbiosis. I have numerous protozoa which are polluting my body, but the health consequences are not dire, therefore it’s just the waste from too much Blasto\protozoa which is my problem. The pathogenic kind [or wild-type]are more nasty, because they antagonize the immune-responses causing diarrhea in many people.
