yes, it has indefinite shelf life. in fact, you can mix up a highly concentrated batch, and then just add a specific amount of that to each liter of water. for instance, if you added ten grams of electrolyte to one litre of water, then you could pour ten ML of this solution into 900 Ml of water and this will give you the necessary one gram of electrolyte per litre of water. this will save time since you dont have to measure out one gram for each litre of water. ... ... if you find it too acidic then use the adjusted recipe of .9 grams of K citrate and .1 gram of potassium bicarbonate per one li ...   [retrieve this message]

ALS is a nerve deneration disease and has been linked with high glutamate levels. glutamate is a naturally occuring amino acid and nuerotransmitter that can become toxic if levels are too high. glutamate opens the cell wall to pass a message from one cell to another, however when glutamate levels are too high, the cell wall stays open for far too long which causes calcium to flood the cell and the cell may then die. ... ... there are two ways to avoid glutamate toxicity - first eliminate ALL forms of MSG, the second is to cut way back on all foods high in glutamate. i would suggest genuine wild rice, not the store bought pretendo wild rice, but the real deal. this rice is grown by mother nature in lakes in minnesota, and harvested sustainably by native american tribes. be sure to soak it in good water for about 20 - 24 hours before cooking. you can then cook it, or you can allow it to sprout for a few days if you like. once sprouted you can still cook it on low heat, its really a wonderfully nutritious treat, the healthiest carbs around as far as i am concerned. ... ... ... http://www.nativeharvest.com/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=76 ... ... ... sweet potatoes a ...   [retrieve this message]

i have blended wheatgrass with some success. but remember, the reason cows can eat grass is that they have four stomachs. during its journey thru these stomachs the grass is slowly fermented and broken down over time. we have only one stomach, which is why eating grass is difficult for humans. the cellulose wall of grass is very tough and difficult to break down, thats why we juice it - the powerful gears of the juicer break down the wall and extract the yummy juice, something our stomachs are not capable of. ... ... so i think juicers are better at extracting the juice from grass, but blenders ...   [retrieve this message]

i am curious about gold and iodine and how they interact. i have been enjoying the C gold i got quite a bit lately. i do find it interesting that of all the halides gold combines with iodine to form the most stable compound, more stable than even gold and bromine. in fact, iodine so readily combines with gold that iodine solutions are used to leach gold out of gold rich ore, then the iodine is stripped, leaving just the gold. i haven’t a clue if taking the gold and iodine together is a good idea, but i admit that its intriguing nonetheless. there is a big difference between shell fish and other fish. shellfish are hosts to a high number of bacteria, pathogens, and parasites that live inside the shells, between the flesh of the fish and the shell. microscopic organisms find this environment to be perfect, it provides food and shelter. the bacteria and parasite counts in shellfish are ALWAYS higher, sometimes much higher, than with other types of fish. ... ... crab is a bit different for the simple reason that the crab legs are a completely closed system. the flesh/shell area of organisms like clams or shrimp are exposed directly to ...   [retrieve this message]
