Challenge the message and not the messenger!
The first person to resort to name calling and personal attacks automatically loses the debate!
Personal attack is often the best indication that the writer knows his logic is flawed and therefore tries to deflect attention by attacking the opponent, instead of attacking the arguments of the opponent.

    If your belief is that it is not right to drink milk because it was meant for calves, then that is a valid reason not to drink it--good for you. ... In my opinion, good milk and it’s products can be an invaluable source of Vit’s A and D, CLA’s, enzymes, etc. I find that most of the studies done on milk are not done on whole raw milk from cows raised on pasture that is grown on rich soils, making the claims that it causes breast cancer, allergies, and so on carry little weight.     well, i think there are very few organic farms that are not part of corporate farms. horizon is even corporate and people don’t realize it. but, it is not the farmers fault, it is capitalism taking over everything and squeezing out the little guy. one of the best ways to view that happening is to look at all the mom and pop stores that are goen and all the super wal*marts everywhere. it is my understanding that we only drink cows milk because there was like a baby starving and the mother had no milk and they looked over and saw a cow, something like that. as far as i know, drinking mi ...   [retrieve this message]

True, there are many cows that live in the conditions described, and a lot of the milk and meat from these farms is not fit for human consumption... ... But there is another side of the story. ...     Just wanted to report that my sister is a school teacher outside of chicago, IL. A fellow teacher just lost her dad to mad cow disease. Her parents went on a cruise to Europe(not sure which specific areas) when they returned, her father fell ill with what seemed like a bad flu at first, but died shortly afterward. The autopsy showed mad cow. Now they are closely watching her mother for any symptoms..not that there is anything that can be done. It was very depressing news. ... ...     Not suprising. In the 70’s, my family had heavy levels of poly-brominated biphenyl(toxin) in our food supply. This was a huge coverup that was eventually called ”cow-gate” in the papers. A fire retardant had accidentally been added to silage at grain silos. The chemical company that made the fire retardant also made a magnesium supplement. The chemicals were switched and PBB got added to the food supply. We had a very small farm for our own milk and vegetable supply. Unfortunately, we got some of the ”tampered?” silage.
