i am so fed up with our glutonous society.
i have heard it said many times over - "i would rather die than not eat steak", or something similar(just insert favorite food). well, this has been arranged.
i just spent a few days with some good ole missouri boys out in the rock covered, tick infested hills. i am still picking ticks off this morning(this after a vinegar scrubbing last night). i think ticks are Iodine deficient, too, and they know it!
these guys(the men, not the ticks) are strong, hearty, good natured, clean, salt of the earth, HARD working folks in their forties. one of the guys works from sunrise to sunset, literally, and stops only to eat a bite or take one 30-60 minute break during the day. he is about 3-4 years younger than me, looks like my dad, is always happy, could snap me in half like a twig, and still has a large gut on him. he doesnt even drink beer.
what is wrong with this picture? you know it has to be diet.
and the other guys i was with? they are such good folk, i hate to sound negative. and yet, they have the benefit of a lot i have told them and they still eat three meals a day and have ham sandwiches for lunch and hamburgers and hotdogs for supper. they are pretty active and strong and feel pretty good on the whole, but they too are younger than me and they both weigh at least twice as much for their heighth.
i hate this culture. it is a culture of pigs. it is killing the very best people we have. they are not vain, so they are not trying to look like a model. they want to enjoy like and the company of folks they love. how do they do this? they eat. they get together for a barbeque, they go out to nice place to eat so momma dont have to cook, they travel and come back with tales of, you guessed it, what they have eaten. its all about eating. it is like there is no joy without eating. these guys go to jamaica and they come back talking about the food. other friends of mine go there and come back talking about the fruit-flavored pot that is super strong and super cheap. there are no differences whatsoever in either of these two fixations.
when i was real sick and my only medicine was my food, i was desperate enough to stay away from all of that eating. this also meant being a hermit. but now that i feel better and want to enjoy the company of others, all they want to do is eat. and when they eat, it is all wrong. even diabetics will eat the cake at weddings and just take another shot of insulin rather than "miss out". this is seen as normal. this is the miracle of modern science, right?
i was getting really down last week about the food supply picture that has been emerging. its a frickin nightmare. between food coming from china(not really food but the junk put in our food) and fruits and veggies from around the globe raised in god knows what kind of filth and sprayed and injected and radiated... and all that shit is ending up in walmart and in the guts of these people that i love and who are eating for taste with little or no knowledge of what they are actually eating and drinking.
so i got a good workout down in the hills of missouri and sweated my you know whats off in 97/97(temp/humidity) and drank my warm distilled water with realsalt in it and foraged for blackberries where i could find any left(i missed the crop) while my friends swilled bottle after bottle of ice cold brominated gatorade.
yep, i am pissed. this country has sold its birthright for a bowl of pottage. the problem is, the pottage is not even real food and is filled to the brim with poison. but, by golly gosh, that mess-o-pottage is mighty tastey and it sho 'nuff does stick to your ribs!!!
