Lugol's Solution Dosage
Forum: Iodine Supplementation VWT
- Lugol's Solution Dosage
This is my understanding of the information supplied in “Consequences of Iodine Deficiency:
Just 2 drops of Lugol’s Solution a day would solve any iodine deficiency if there wasn’t a bombardment of other Halogens.
The four Halogens are (heaviest to lightest) Iodine, Bromine, Chlorine and Fluorine the nature of these beasts is for the lighter ones to displace the heavier ones. So Fluorine could push the other three out of the way and it would take massive dosages of the heavier ones to eliminate Fluorine again.
It won’t take you long to find sources of all these Halogens except Iodine in the human food chain today, and from the latest news they are now even sprayed on finished products and used as pool chemicals. In short there will be VERY few who aren’t saturated with bad halogens.
However iodine can displace the lower halogens as long as the dosage is high enough, this is why in the “Consequences of Iodine Deficiency” the most used dosage is 50mg a day for 3 weeks to 3 months.
Halogen Imbalance Syndrome (HIS) is real and requires larger dosages, the lower halogens use the way of the kidney to leave the body and can cause some detox symptoms, below is the protocol most recommended from the audio programs in “Consequences of Iodine Deficiency”.
- 50mg or 8 drops of Lugol’s Solution for 3 weeks to 3 months
- 2x1500 mg of Ester C, to help the body absorb the iodine and push out the lower halogens, taken at least 1 hour away from the Lugol's
- 1 tsp of Salt, Celtic or other natural salt to help the kidneys push the lower halogens into the urine
- After this only 12.5mg or 2 drops of Lugol’s Solution daily for maintenance
