If WE are Iodine deficient and our soil is iodine deficient, then the bugs are too! I ask God that if there are bugs out there that He doesn't want me to kill for biting me, then please have them bite me where I can't feel it! (And please allow me to notice for any potential allergic reactions so I can take extra iodine!)
Now then, as for those allergic reactions? This is one of the reasons why I feel we all need to (once again) listen to that two-hour (Dr Flechas as guest speaker) audio!
Dr Flechas does cover the allergy connection with iodine deficiency. I do remember him saying that since the skin holds 20% of the body's need for iodine, iodine does also play a part in the function of histidine levels.
What we have all been used to, is to take an anti-histamine for an allergic reaction to something, right? Well, we have a natural anti-histamine in our body already! It's called histidine. Our histidine levels should rise when our body is exposed to something we are sensitive to.
Why don't they?
Well, they won't if we are iodine deficient! The histidine levels in our body will "rise to the occasion", as long as we have sufficient iodine levels to facilitate them. This is something we learn in that audio.
It stuck with me because of my allergy to cats. It stuck with me because I listened to the audio after I had started taking iodine, was only on it for only eight days, and spent the entire day inside a house with two cats, and never developed any symptoms at all.
When Flechas started talking about allergies, my little ears perked right up, and I got the goosebumps...
...alllllllllllllllllllll over my body!!! It was a very cool confirmation!
