Blood type and alkalinity are something I've been trying to get to the bottom of too. I recently received a helpful chart, "Blood-Type B -- pH and Nutrition Guide," from my naturopath. It is published by Tree of Light Publishing (www.treelite.com).
It charts the groups of foods (Meats and Poultry; Seafood; Soy Products; Beans and Legumes; Eggs, Dairy, Milk Products; Nuts, Seeds; Fats and Oils; Juices; Fruits; Vegetables; Herbs and Spices; Condiments; Beverages; Grains, Starches, and Cereals) and with each food in each group it outlines "beneficial, neutral, and avoid" according to blood-type AND "acidic, neutral, and alkaline" according to pH ... for each food! All proteins are of course acidic and most vegetables are alkaline ... it recommends eating 60% of diet as alkaline forming to balance the pH.
After two days I am noticing huge differences. I'm starting only with alkaline foods to facilitate a (hopefully) quick change in overall pH which means mostly vegetables and soups and lots of green tea. So glad almonds and Ezekiel and Essene breads (which are good toasted with feta cheese) is beneficial and also alkaline for type B's.
Anyway, it seems like good information and fills in some gaps when you're trying to consider both blood-type and pH.
