              I like iFlora because itís got a very wide range of bacteria, including some that are naturally found in the colon (where the enema will be going). Not sure what you feel to be expensive, but iFlora runs about $21 or so for a bottle of 60 caps on iHerb dot com. Last August a couple of weeks after taking Culturelle lactobacillus gg he developed cold hands and feet, blue feet, altered mental state and resistant thrush which is why he ended up on trimethroprim. I did not know it at the time but early last September he was probably showing signs of lactic acid problems. Seizures started in January.             Although I strongly believe my son has an intolerance to probiotics I came across Dr William Shaws (Great Plains Lab) book on Biological Treatments for Autism and PDD and on page 47 he has written that íI recommend the simuultaneous use of a probiotic product any time an antifungal drug is used. Yeast are part of the intestinal ecosystem and hold their organisms in check. Currently taking 6 pills of florastor a day and 2-4 pills when I get low on them. Iím still working on curing it fully, but most of my symptoms were dramatically lessened by grapefruit seed extract (GSE). Caprylic acid also helped but created a die-off effect so I donít use it very often.       The problem with your case is that it could be anything from minor allergic reaction, parasites, water regulation issues, gut inflammation/leaky gut or even a mix of issues. Reg high fat diet itís a no. Actually many fats have anti-inflammatory properties. You want the antifungals to have time to get into the intestines and kill the yeast before you eat food. It is never a good idea to eat food and take antifungals together. Show the yeast no mercy.       Have you looked at using Adrenal Cortex Extract drops (ACE)? They are paramount in the healing protocol at the Clymer Healing Centre, and also in Dr Wilsons book.. ... ... I was just pointing out that I am very suspicious of whether it is contributing to my current candida resistance. I attribute it to biofilms, and I am currently addressing that. Cortisone does inhibit the immune system but that is in very HIGH doses.     I have had symptoms for 3 months now, and suspect candida as my gastro doctor gave me nystatin for too much yeast found in stool. Does this necessarily mean i have overgrowth, and can candida really cause someone to feel constantly drunk 24/7? This is seriously ruining my life. I read that candida is only an issue with people who have HIV/AIDS/lots of antibiotic use, but i have had no antibiotic use in a really long time.     Hi, I just wanted some advice on my test result, My result was 0.2 when the normal level of candida is 0.9 so it is below the normal level meaning no candida related immune complexes were detected. I also had a metametrix DNA stool test 1 year ago which again came back negative for candida yeast and I had a vaginal swab culture test which came back with bacterial vaginosis not yeast.       There is a distinct difference between a medication that kills protozoans and one that kills bacteria. They are very different. As for nystatin, most people who have not been treated and have a protozoal infection have an overgrowth of candida. I prefer fluconazole, but to each their own. If you crave sweets or drink colas, odds are you have a candida overgrowth.   [End]
