I had mine removed along time ago. My son just had his removed and took 4 caps of charcoal tabs as soon as he got to the Dentist. And four charcoal tabs after the removal. I read just recently a suggestion to take the charcoal tabs with chlorella before and after appointments. That sounds better to me. There are foods that have pectin in them that naturally chelate metals, such as apples, carrots, beets. Other foods that I read about just yesterday in addition to those are sesame seeds, legumes, garlic (both chelates heavy metals and kills candida IMO from what I've read), oats, oat bran and rice bran. I'm glad I had mine removed as I feel that I don't have a constant source of toxin contamination regularly being dispensed into my body. But you must decide what's best for you.
Please research it yourself. Most dentists that remove the mercury fillings will do it in a few visits spaced a few months apart to be easier on the body. That way it's easier to try and rid body of heavy metals between visits. The best product I have ever found in all my years of researching health for chelating is Modiflan. It is a concentrated seaveggie supplement that is awesome. It worked for me and I still plan on using it Once a year for a couple of months. The first time I used it, I took 6 vcaps in the morning with water for 4 months. Now I only use it 2 months of the year just to be sure cause I read somewhere that the body will detox heavy metals in layers and it knows when the body is clear enough to clean house and dump another layer. I view it as a all natural vitamin supplement. High in minerals and easily assimable. You can probaby find it on the internet. It's become quite popular lately. I just ordered some and I was told they ran out and I would have to wait for the next shipment.
