I want to try something easy to start with so i've seen things like Oxypowder and stuff that requires only tablets etc. Can you recommend a couple to me which are around the same price or cheaper? im not massively constipated, but im always run down and extremely tired, get headaches alot etc etc
I have tried Oxypowder. It is very easy and simple to use. If you want to start slowly I would recommend taking only 1 or 2 capsules the first night and working your way up. The bottle says to take 4 each night, but that was kind of "dramatic" if you know what I mean. I can actually get good results with only 2 tablets. But I have heard that some people need up to 10. I think it is best to start slow.
But it is simple program. Nothing to it. I would give it a try if I were you.
The best way to start your cleansing process is with a good intestinal cleanser. I have been an avid Oxy-powder for about 3 years now. The Oxy-Powder is a safe intestinal cleanser and I think it is a pretty easy product to use. The usual detox reactions that you are likely are headaches, joint pain, nausea, vomiting, feeling run down just to name a few. The Oxy-Powder is designed to produce very liquified movements. Many of my friends that also use the Oxy-Powder compare the movements to being like diarrhea. The way that differs from diarrhea is that diarrhea actually pulls water from the body. The Oxy-Powder actually converts your compacted fecal matter from a solid from into a liquid or gas. I hope this helps to educate yourself on the cleansing process.
Well you have a couple of options for colon cleansers.
OxyPowder is a good choice. It's a simple cleanse. Like you said you take some capsules before you go to bed.
Bowtrol is another colon cleansing that is simple. Similar to Oxypowder, you take some capsules at nite prior to bed. But it's slightly different then oxypowder, because Bowtrol is an Herbal Colon Cleanser. Oxypowder is an Oxygen Colon Cleanser.
Although, it must be noted that Bowtrol has some questionable herbs included in its formula. Cascara Sagrada & Senna are two ingredients that should not be taken excessively (7 days), and they are included in Bowtrol's formula. Keep in mind this is a 30 day colon cleansing program. I'm not saying that it would be unsafe to take this product, but it would be wise to double-check with your doctor prior to ingesting these two herbs.
Colpurin is another colon cleansing product that is pretty simple. There are two products you take, one you take the Internal Cleanse for 15 days and take the Total Body Purifier for a full 30 days. Colpurin also contains Cascara Sagrada.
Out of these three products, I would recommend OxyPowder. All of these products are around the same price range, none of them require you to mix fiber drinks or laxative teas, and are more convenient... which is what you are probably looking for. They are all effective in different ways. I would recommend OxyPowder because it is an effective process of colon cleansing.
and can you tell me whetehr it's worth trying Oxypowder to get rid of my symptoms? i am constantly tired with headaches and stiff muscles, especially neck and shoulders. Always feel groggy for the whole day...
I don't know if Oxypowder will get rid of the symptoms you spoke of, but I will say that I have no idea what I am doing when it comes to this kind of alternative medicine stuff. But I just finished taking Oxypowder and I had great success. I was glad taht I did it. I can't compare it to any other products, because the only colon cleansing product I've ever taken was Oxypowder.
I'm now thinking about doing a Liver Gallbladder Cleanse, but that's something completely different and MUCH more complicated. I'm still not completely sure if I am going to do it or not, but the reason I mention it, is because the OxyPowder cleanse inspired me to try and cleanse my entire body, and not just the colon.
I hope this message hits home for you. Because I was sitting where you are about three weeks ago, just trying to figure out what would be best for my body.
I agree with Pink: as our health starts to wane from years of misuse, it will take some work and it's not just one simple cause usually. Colon cleansing is a great way to start, then you may want to read about Liver Flushing and consider starting those. This is all a process; some people in the quest for health do a LF monthly. Some people do The Master Cleanse 4x a year for a more dramatic cleanse (it's a liquid fast). But def start with the colon and look at Liver Flushing for continued digestive health. Good luck in your quest.
FYI - since learning about alternative medicine stuff, doing some cleansing, and changing my diet, I feel better than before cleansing while on a bad diet. I had started to feel old and hated it - I wanted energy back and now I'm back to how I was before I started eating really bad... now I want to get to where I was when I was younger! We should feel energetic and vital!
The symptoms that you are experiencing sounds like your body is pretty toxic. The Oxy-powder will help cleanse the intestinal system . However, if your body is severely toxic, the only way to rid your body of the toxins is to do a complete body cleanse. The next step in the cleansing process is a liver/gallbladder cleanse. I know this sounds like a scary thing to do. You should try to keep an open mind about cleansing your entire body. The short term discomforts that you might experience are headaches, nausea, vomiting, joint pain, feeling run down. These are good signs that your body is riding itself of the toxins. The severity of the detox effects that you might experience will depend on the sensitivity that you have to detoxification. You should try to remember that the effects are a only a short term discomfort. You are on the road to being healthier and feeing better. I hope this helps you to achieve your goals of feeling better and becoming a healthier you.
Oxy-Powder can help with candida also long as it is only located in the intestinal system. There are many causes of a stiff neck some of which are various types of infections. It could also be a type of injury or maybe some more serious. The best thing probably to have yourself evaluated by a naturopathic physician who is able to properly diagnose what the actual cause of your stiff neck. There are products that you could add to your daily regimen to help your body rid itself of candida. You can add a good priobiotic, and a parasite cleanser. The priobitic that I have ussed will great success is called Latero-Flora. The company that makes the Oxy-powder makes two products that can help your candida which are Paratrex and Organic Oregano Oil.
You may want to search for testimonials on Oxypowder. For me, I was glad that it was gentle - far more gentle than a laxative like Smooth Move Tea. You can go through your normal routine with it. It did get things moving. I had been doing it for over a week (with a 2 day break during while camping) and BMs were normal although loose, sometimes liquid. Then one day I had a liquid BM that was straight BLACK. Woah! I know people say they get plaque from other cleanses and this cleanse liquifys things, so I'm a-thinking that was plaque! There were 2 (or three? I think 2) BLACK liquid BM's with a little green tinge. So gross but so fascinating. I'm thinkin', whatever that is, it doesn't look like it needs to be in my body. BETTER OUT THAN STAYING IN! As for overall health, I don't have any major health issues to have miraculously healed so for me it is a slower process at the end of which I hope for better skin, digestion, and energy. I am dieting and did lose more weight that week than normal though. Overall, I'm really liking the cleansing process and feel better than I did before starting to improve my diet & health, (but I just told you this in another post:)) Sooo... that is my experience. Not dramatic, but positive. Oxypowder is an easy cleanse.
What has worked for me after trying many others is Colonix by drnatura. This cleanse was easy to take, didn't have to adjust my life around it and was gentle on my system. I initially started with a 3 month cleanse. Others I've tried were 7 - 14 days long and I had severe reactions. I would have the runs or I would be constipated. But I would also recommend you seek a naturopath who can put you on the track of eating right for your body. It has helped me tremendously while incorporating the colonix program at least once a year.
Let us know what you decided to use and what is helping you.
I am interested in Oxypowder as well. I'm not sure if it's what I want to do or not.
In response to GoldStar, how do you consider Colonix a simple colon cleanse? Do you think it's simpler than Oxypowder? Because to me, as a newcomer to colon cleansing and body detox, I think that Colonix would be incredibly difficult and inconvenient for me to do, especially for 30-90 days!! I work alot of hours, so I, personally, need something thats can fit in with my schedule
Also, GoldStar, I was wondering how the colonix herbs treated you. Did you have any long-term negative effects from the Senna? That was one of my biggest concerns and something I've read in other forums, is that these herbal concoctions have caused bowel dependancy and other side effects. That really concerns me!
I've never done any colon cleansing products, but after comparing Colonix to Oxypowder, it just seems to me that Oxypowder is the better cleanser. Their website has a ton of more information about their product, than Colonix does about theirs. The oxypowder testimonials are more organized. I'm generally more impressed with Oxypowder, than I am with Colonix.
