Thanks for all this. One (of many) thing I found interesting was on Lecithin. She notes it as "legal', but then goes on to pretty much explain that because it's from soy, it is bad - goes on about eggs, etc. making lecithin unneccary. Not sure what to make of it. Legal - but not? Confused on this one.
I like (love) the fact (how could I not?) that it is based on a molecular examination/evaluation of each item. But...
Things like Astragalus (immuniity booster/good for adrenals and digestion - so "the others" say - also good for chronic lung weakness), Burdock Root (blood purifyer, removes excess fluid, antibacterial, antifungal, good for liver, gallbaldder, immunity - so "the others" say) - I just find it difficult to grasp how these kinds of things are bad when they are SO good.
She also notes dry milk only. Does that not extend to almond milk (legal)? A while back you answered another question from me regarding what you use in coffee, etc. - you said organinc, non-hom or unpast. (I think) whipped cream. Is this something you found okay according to the diet but only in the book?
Is this diet a permanent one? How long have you been following it?
I do not have so many of the symptoms involved here. Yes, cramping, spasming, tons of air but only goes out "up" to get out, not "down" (funny but true), etc. but no diareah, etc. - like pretty much never - unless I take cascara sagrada/fennel in high doses after taking any of my anti-helms (natural or pharm). I wouldn't use this combo (aloe too) if I didn't want to get the dead stuff out.
Aloe was a BIG surprise. I definitely want to check this out and get the book to understand it all better. Anything noted as mucil. makes tons of sense (especially for me!!) - just didn't realize Aloe was.
Very interesting, Spock. I know - get the book. Maybe today I hit B and N. If they don't have it I'll get it on Am, like I said. Can't promise I'll adhere, but it will be a lesson indeed.
I like that they get pretty analytical to back things up.
