I had to look this up. I had a girlfriend with this years and years ago, but didn't know what it was.
One of the sites I visited said the following:
Chemicals or medications associated with development of lichen planus include gold (used to treat rheumatoid arthritis), antibiotics, arsenic, iodides, chloroquine, quinacrine, quinidine, antimony, phenothiazines, diuretics such as chlorothiazide, and many others.
I would hope that OP can help you with this and I can't see why you shouldn't try it. For me, I would go straight to the coconut oil....
