My KP (keratosis Pilaris) condition has decreased by 99% since I started OP (oil pulling) Aug. 1 of this year.
And yes, I did have very dry feet, even the top of my feet -- around my toes and the sides of my heels. I used a heel smoother (like a large emery board) to keep my heels smooth. After about 6 weeks of OP, not only was my KP practically gone, but I realized I had stopped smoothing my heels daily. Now I smooth my heels about once every 2 weeks, instead of every night. I also had dry skin all over my body. A doctor told me my back looked like it had dandruff. I haven't tried to check out my back in a mirror, but I am assuming it is no longer dry because I notice that my skin feels smoother and softer all over.
Other health improvements since OP:
Joint aches in feet, knees, shoulders, hips and neck have completely stopped. My feet were sometimes so stiff, I was using a foot massager daily. I don't get a sore neck anymore if I am on the computer too long.
Teeth are white, tongue and gums very pink. I had periodontal surgery 20 years ago, and keeping my gums healthy has been a concern every since. Now, I don't worry about my gums anymore -- they look and feel great. I look forward to my next dental cleaning to hear what my dentist says.
No more ear wax! At least not any that is discernable.
I use coconut oil, but I think Molly's husband's KP ended while he was using sesame oil.
Do you know about the KP forum?
http://www.keratosispilaris.org/forumdisplay.php?f=2
It has two "sub" forums that talk about KP/OP: "You are going to think I'm nuts" and "Cured at last". Join our chat over there, if you haven't already.
A few weeks ago, I posted a query on this forum, asking if others had been healed of KP. There was no response, except from Molly about her husband and son, so I am assuming that no one else here has/had KP or they may have had it but not known what it was called.
