I can confidently say that I feel that the candida is completely gone, based on the fact that all of my symptoms are gone, and I no longer see signs of candida during colema's. I still have some more
Liver Flushing to do, and if I feel this good now, I can't wait to see how I feel after my liver is all the way cleaned out.
As far as the 8/1/1 diet goes, I am no expert in any respects, and I agree that it's not a very practical or reasonable diet to follow for the long term. When I mentioned the 8/1/1 diet in my post, I didn't attribute my recovery to the 8/1/1 diet itself, but what I was saying is that the 8/1/1 diet was the jolt that I needed to get away from the traditional mindset that most people take on when dealing with candida. The
Liver Flushes were the turning point for me, and colon cleansing via colema's, and cleansing my kidneys, were also important pieces to the puzzle.
In regards to the question of “Why dispose of anti-fungals”.. I believe that candida is present in the body for a very specific reason, and that using anti-fungals to target the candida itself is no different than the way modern prescription drugs target symptoms rather than the underlying causes, and of course most of us scoff every time we hear the word prescription drug, yet in my eyes, anti fungals really aren't that different. In addition to that reasoning, it is also known that anti fungals can put stress on the liver.. so why kick your liver while it's already down? is what I say. Take care of the root cause(s) of the candida, and the candida will take care of itself, and I believe that the liver is often the root cause of candida overgrowth, with the colon coming in second place, and the kidneys third, but of course more likely than not, all of these organs are in some kind of distress.

Yes, I still had candida when I first began conducting liver flushes, and it subsided and then disappeared as I continued flushing.
In my opinion, the chances are quite slim that you will truly get rid of the candida without cleansing your liver first, so it's great that your going to cleanse your liver first. Make sure that you get ALL the stones out, even if it takes you a year to complete that many flushes. You will continually improve, so it won't be like you have to live with the level of candida that you currently have, for an entire year.
As far as the fruits go, I don't restrict myself from any fruits. My motto is “If God Made It, I'll Eat It.” but my personal favorites are watermelon, pears, apples, berries, and bananas. In fact, bananas are attributed to feeding the healthy bacteria known as acidophilus, which is yet another reason why I now roll my eyes at these low-carb, no fruit diets. I don't think people realize how beneficial fruit is, and I think it's become a matter of throwing the baby out with the bath water.
Heres another tidbit... researchers are now starting to conclude that honey (possibly the number one so called enemy of most people who are battling candida) is actually beneficial for people with diabetes and people who are watching their blood sugar, because the honey has a way of controlling and normalizing blood
Sugar levels. Obviously raw, unfiltered honey is best.

Yes! Your post is actually the way that I found out about xylitol, so thanks! I use xylitol because I was looking for a healthy alternative to refined sugar, rather than for it's anti fungal properties or for it's benefits on the teeth, but those are certainly nice bonuses.

I almost always eat my fruit raw, except for the occasional times when I'll slice up an apple or a pear and throw it into my wok for some stir fry, but even then, the fruit is streamed more than cooked. I don't necessarily have any huge quarrels with cooking fruit, but obviously it's healthier in it's raw state.
I didn't start
juicing again until I felt that I was out of the woods with the candida. You most likely already know this, but when you juice a fruit/veggie and remove the pulp, the sugars are absorbed a lot faster, which isn't a good thing for somebody with a candida problem. Even today, after my full recovery, I still don't believe that drinking straight fruit juice is a good idea. Watering down the fruit juice helps out. I don't feel that this is as big of an issue with veggie juice. I enjoy carrot/celery/apple/parsley/garlic, which is three to four carrots, two stalks of celery, one apple, about a tablespoon of parsley, and 1-2 cloves of garlic, and I only water it down with about 1/2 cup of water.
Indeed I included veggies. I am a big fan of broccoli. I didn't exclude any fruits. :D If you are extra worried about the
Sugar content, then you can steer clear of grapes for a while, as they seem to be one of the sweeter fruits.
I'd just like to reiterate that I don't attribute my victory to the all fruit diet. What I do attribute to the all fruit diet, is the fact that it totally reshaped the way that I thought about candida, which led me to the liver cleanses, which I complimented with colon and kidney cleansing as well. My colon cleansing was done with a colema board. I cleansed my kidneys with the kidney cleansing kit from Dr Schulze, and I believe its one of the best kidney cleansing options out there. If you want more info you can go to Dr Schulze's website at www.800herbdoc.com The kit is available from his on line pharmacy, which is linked to from that site. It runs about $75, but I feel it's well worth it. You do it in conjunction with a 5 day raw food/juice fast.

Thanks so much for your congratulations and for your meaningful contributions to this topic, I appreciate it.
I'd also just like to mention that it is quite likely that you will experience soreness in your colon as you begin to get more and more bile flowing, due to the fact that your colon has probably been disrupted by the candida, the way that they burrow into the colon wall, and also due to the fact that you probably haven't fully had a chance to establish a protective barrier of good bacteria. In order to deal with this, I've found that aloe vera juice, glutamine, and msm, are beneficial in aiding with the healing of your colon tissue. So give it a hand in healing itself, and continue to repopulate your intestinal tract with probiotics.
