For Dr. Schulze 's 5-day mild liver flush, there's a note to use apple instead of citrus if citrus is too drying to your skin.
Citrus is commonly used in many of Dr. Schulze's cleansing protocols. For e.g., the 5-day kidney uses the juice of a lemon every morning. The big Liver Flush uses oranges. There's no mention of the the citrus and dry skin issue anywhere else. Does this citrus restriction strictly apply to the 5-day mild liver flush only?
Anybody knows why apple (hence the malic acid) is often used in the Liver Flush *PREP*, but citrus is always used in the actual flush? In other words, when there's *NO* oil, use apple; when there's oil, mix it with citrus.
However, let it be known (in my body) that I have done two flushes where I was so focused on the olive oil and laying down afterward, that I totally FORGOT to drink my grapefruit juice. Both flushes were VERY successful. This does not mean I'm suggesting to flush without citrus, only that whatever effect it has, seems to have made little or no difference in my body on those particular flushes.
