Urine is not, as many believe, the excess water from food and liquids that goes through the intestines and is ejected from the body as "waste". It is much different and much more. Info abt beneficial substances granted, there is a caution indicated in that it is URINE that is tested to evaluate the effectiveness and need for chelation of toxic metals.

Do the chelated complexes of toxic metal+chelating agent just pass right through the digestive system without being re-adsorbed??? Are they absorbed if we have a leaky gut/ faulty intestinal barrier, but not if the gut is healthy?

Perhaps those most likely to have a large toxic load should consider starting out using UT homeopathically, in VERY VERY SMALL AMMOUNTS. (I've seen 1-10 DROPS per glass of water suggested.)
