I tried this yesterday. I did an
Sea Salt enema with 1
quart in the morning and another in the evening. Nothing! I noticed 2 positive things though. One was that I felt very calm and peaceful. The other that I had no strong peristaltic reaction and could hold the enema for much longer than usual. I passed nothing at all. Seajay, I see from the forum history this happened to you. I just wonder if salt
water enemas work for anyone?
I have been doing daily enemas with plain water for about 5 months now. Recently I have changed to alternate days. There are no BMs in between. One time I tried three days without enemas but the result was so hard and constipated it was alarming. When I do daily enemas with plain water my peristaltic movements are so strong (irritated?) that I can hardly hold the water for 5 mins. This is getting worse not better. My stomach is sore afterwards but my head feels clear and my mood very good. I too have a lot of gas. I guess this is what "being addicted to enemas" is.
I am a small slim person and have very strong reactions to things. I can only take a
quart of liquid at a time and I cannot tolerate a second enema after the first. My peristaltic movements are so strong they expel the tube.
I just can't understand why I have constipation when the peristaltic movements are so strong. Anyone know?
