Considering the body uses 12.5 mg of Iodine
in one day, you need 12.5mg per day once you have reached sufficiency just to maintain this.
So you would need atleast 111 drops per day to maintain your body concentrate of I and KI. However, reaching sufficiency with this product would be next to impossible. You'd have to take atleast 1,000 drops every day for 3-6 months (maybe more).
I also understand starting off with something like this though. I already had some generic Iodoral ordered but it was back ordered and would take a few weeks so I tried one of the "baby" Iodines.
It was based off of kelp, and I actually have a suspicion that it was contaminated with heavy metals and possibly alot of bromide because I experienced what I thought was detox at the time, but later on realized it probably wasn't. I got a very metallic taste in the mouth, and retained alot of water a couple of nights at about 2-3 mg doses.
Considering it took about 90mg for a few weeks for me to actually detox with the pills (and it as a different experience) I have a feeling I was actually ingesting a large amount of something toxic.
Be careful with the kelp based stuff, and the stuff sold at Vitamin stores. From what I've ready they could be contaminated with junk.
