also the condition of the tooth has nothing to do with oil pulling. unless of course someone can show a study where eating plant oils has caused teeth to deteriorate. aint gonna happen.

I will wait your report on this one... It is what I wish to do with two small Amalgams I have now. Just have them cleaned out, debriding the bone a little to stimulate growth and see if it can come back. I do not see why it would not work I have seen grossly shattered bone heal and reform, why not a tooth?

I have 5 fillings, a crown & a very expensive hole in my mouth...also 3 of 4 wisdom teeth! They've been telling me for years that the other one is "impacted". Never had a single problem with it.. I've been reading so much about the negative effects of mercury that I really think replacement is in my future. I have had the fillings since childhood...I guess I was just wondering what would happen if I had them removed & not replaced...what's under there, anyway...rot? Huge holes?
What did you have them replaced with?
Also, regarding that remineralization..In the not too distant past my husband suffered a spiral fracture of the humerus. We did everything possible to get that bone healed quickly..He did heal, in record time & he's 54. One of the supplements we used was silicon. I don't remember the exact details but it has been shown that silicon is present in increased amounts wherever new bone is being formed...something to ponder. Also, one of the things we tried to get our hands on(but failed) is called a bone growth stimulator. It's an electromagnetic device. Used ones can be found on Ebay from time to time, although there weren't any when we needed it. These devices are routinely used in Europe to speed the mending of broken bones. We asked the idiot orthopod about it & he said " Oh no, we only prescribe those if the bone doesn't heal." what the...?
When a bone growth stimulator is actually prescribed in the U.S., insurance mandates that it cannot be recycled or reused...stupid, huh? & that's why they end up on Ebay!
A final thought on wisdom teeth. One of the reasons I've heard to get them pulled is that they're hard to clean. Oil pulling seems to take care of that beautifully! I wish I would've found it years ago.
