How to cure pancreatitis?

As a person who suffered from passing a gallstone (I didn't know I had them, they were not on x-rays, or ultrasounds), I can say I wish I knew about a gallstone flush long ago. But, since I didn't, there is nothing I can do about that...
I can tell you that your information about pancreatitis is limited.
Acute Pancreatitis is an inflamtion of the pancreas, caused by the pancreas juices being caught in the pancreas, and self-digesting itself. Know for certain that scrarring from pancreatitits does exist, and each time an acute flare-up happens, the chances of having a permenant, chronic pancreatitis increases.
The main best solution for pancreatitis is to give it COMPLETE and TOTAL rest.... that means seeking medical professional for intervenous nutrients, and hydration. You canNOT take anything orally, as that will stimulate the pancreas to secrete its enzymes.
As far as your recommendations for increased nutrients, I don't know... except that when pancreatitis becomes chronic, sufferers must find all sorts of ways in supplement the diet, especially with digestive enzymes. Because of enzyme deficiency, poor nutrition is inevitable... not all nutrients can be absorbed properly because the nutrients have not been broken down to a usable form.
The use of all sorts of supplements does NOT complete resolve the problem of mal-absorption. Supplements do help to shorten the length of attacks, and to minimize the intensity of attacks.
Pancreatitis poses interesting problems, because no matter what, you must eat to receive nutrients. The pancreas secretes enzymes to digest protein, fats, and carbohydrates. Further it secretes other enzymes that help to break down the smaller particles from the first stage of its digestion. And it secretes hormones, like insulin to allow the body's cell use glucose properly for energy. The pancreas has many functions, some are "simple" and some are intricately balanced.
You cannot live without a pancreas... unless you take enzyme supplements and take insulin.... then remember that the pancreas also secretes glucogon which also helps to change fat back into energy (the loosing weight hormone).
Pancreatitis is EXTREMELY painful. (Liken it to acid being dropped on the most sensitive part of you skin.) Many cases are from drinking alcohol, some are physical deformities, some are from blocked ducts from foreign objects (gallstones), and the cause of some are unknown completely.

I have developed and use several strategies for beating pancreatitis over the last 33 years and this new blog post explains one that I began using in 1994 and it really got the pancreas healing into high gear. The cool thing is you don't have to just take my word it works. You'll be able to read a couple scientific articles that says it works. Yep a few scientists have finally learned what I already discovered over 19 years ago which is that certain antioxidants help relieve symptoms but what they don't know yet or aren't telling is that this one helps to heal the pancreas. I am a 32 year Pancreatitis survivor. I found out how to stop Acute Pancreatitis and Chronic Pancreatitis pain and allow my pancreas to heal; However, there is NO cure for Pancreatitis. Once you have had an Acute Pancreatitis episode you are ALWAYS at risk for another and IF you have enough damage from the first attack you will have more and suffer from chronic pancreatitis. i know how i handled it-worked by ihaveitbad 14 year 1 of 1 (100%)
i was in chronic pain for the past year and after going form GI doc to GI doc without any answers and after being in the ER several times within the past year this is what i did.
i went to a placethat sells vitamins and bought some parasitin by vaxxa, which contained Wormwood , Black-Walnut , clove.
i took that and after 5 days i was better had no pancreas pain at all, regained my appetite and some weight also.
one doc i went to wanted to put me on digestive enzyems when all my lipase/amylase were up and down finally stabilized. my tryspin levels were low but i did not know that you are supposed to cook fully lima beans not just heat them from being frozen in the microwave for 2 min is NOT enough to fully cook them. undercooked lima beans contains a trypsin inhibitor....i ate lima beans before i took that trypsin test. the results came out low b/c i ate undercooked lima beans which can be very dangerous to your system.
i thought eating lima beans would give me the fiber i needed to help heal my gut.
aftertaking this Wormwood formula for nearly two weeks, it has helped me dramatically. i have no pancreas pain, no stomach pain ( i have a hiatal hernia and GERD also upon a scope done and tested out neg for H pylori, and neg for stomach cancer) my doc was at a loss to tell me waht to do but to put me on bella-phenobarital-donnatal, pepcid, and low dose of valium. i am off of all these but the low does of valium so far since i took this Wormwood capulse.
and i have my enegery back. not perfectly but i can get off the couch now and for hte first time in 9 mos was able to go outside and trim my trees.
i have no GERD, no stomach pains, and no pancreas pains.
all of the docs could not help me. they wanted me to go to Shands in gainesville fl to be examined by a top pancreatic doc for 41 years and travel 4 hours and be subjected to invasive tests like EUS, ERCP, etc.
i had a pancreatic protocol ct scan done with and w/o contrast in april. it showed half of hte head of my pancreas was atrophic and no one could tell me why. i do not drink and smoke for over 12 years.
my rbc/wbc was normal so it was not cancer and i had a ca -19 which was 25 normal.
i am tired of docs who can not gvie me answers so i had to do it on my own.
so far, it has worked. for how long i do not know but it has helped me. good luck to all you out there, iam tired of getting shots in the er which bind my bowels for a week of diludid.
and this country could care less about a untrendy illness like pancreatitis. Breast Cancer or prostate cancer are trendy illnesses to have so R & D has poured millions of dollars into those illness. anytime you mention the word pancreas the doctors SHRINK away like little mice scattering to the corners to hide from this. they dont know what to do about it. try something else if all fails
