Love & Integrity
I've been writing a lot on my other blog, Mother Earth Heals, about my discovery that Roundup, a toxic herbicide, is being used at the Nature Center where I go to re-connect with Great Mother Earth. I've been thinking about what positive action I might take to remedy the situation. Last night I asked my Guides and Great Mother for some input about the situation. They told me to come from a place of love and integrity.

Liora: Hello again, Guys, Great Mother! I am feeling the need for some input, some perspective here. I feel totally whapped out. Why should I be surprised re: the Nature Center and toxic chemicals? They're used everywhere else, too, it seems. I just felt the Nature Center was a "holy" or "sacred" place for me--was that the lesson? To know what it FEELS like to have one's sacred place desecrated? That was the lesson, yes?
Guides: Yes, dear one, that was the lesson. You are moving out of "head" space and into "heart" space. You are much more vulnerable to pain and suffering and sadness. Remember, it is not always your OWN pain you are feeling, but that of others as well. Yes, you are "a sensitive", yet this is a POSITIVE, not negative attribute as it allows for you to feel the pain of others and thereby increase your understanding, your feeling of commonality with others and their plight. Yet underneath your sorrow is a wellspring of strength and endurance. You feel your pain, you feel that of others, and you release through your tears, then you carry on to take appropriate positive action. It is the beginning of a shift for you, to take action out of love and not out of anger. Out of love for yourself, others, and the world in which your very feet are planted. Great Mother, Holy One, supports you in this.
You are not alone. This is the task of the Earthkeeper. It can be a lonely one at times, a hard one. You will find others who are like-minded, who are your kin. You must cultivate them for community. Yes, you long for such a community. You are not geographically situated in one, yet even in your area there are others. Reach out to them, as you have planned. It is time to come out of hiding and speak your truth. The Nature Center will endure, as it is part of the Mother, of course. It will be your first "real" challenge, your "testing ground" of sorts. It matters not so much the outcome; what matters most is your staying in integrity, and coming from a place of love for the Earth, not anger and disdain for those humans who are ignorant.
We love you and hold you, we open our arms wide to receive you whenever you need nurturing. Love to you always! Namaste, Amen

The Superintendent of Maintenance at the Nature Center told me that the herbicide they use to kill weeds, Monsanto's Roundup, is "safe enough to drink"!

I've been writing about what action I'm going to take to try and get Roundup banned from use at the Nature Center. Think I just found myself some Nature Center allies!

Since I wrote the original blog about the El Dorado Nature Center and the use of the herbicide Roundup, I've found out some new information: The herbicide used at the Nature Center does not contain surfactant, the inert "detergent" additive that is known to cause environmental devastation.
Volunteers Needed! http://curezone.com/blogs/m.asp?f=309&i=190 I sent an e-mail out to my physician-friend regarding the use of herbicide at the El Dorado Nature Center. I have posted her response below. She believes that the Center's use of herbicide, without the detergent additive that causes so much environmental devastation, is a step in the right direction, but more community volunteers are needed.
