Day 22 & 23 by katiemarie .....

Brighten Up, Lighten Up

It's a picturesque day here in Northern California. It's about 67 degrees, sunny, breezy, with big billowy clouds of white and dark grey.  I love days like these and feel really blessed to live in such a beautiful area.

I'm so glad I feel better today, even though I am still feeling a bit weak. I need to step up my wheatgrass and fresh vegetable juice today. Yesterday our plans to go to the river - our usual Sunday or Monday outing was cancelled when I started throwing up early in the day. What a bummer. It took hours for my tummy to settle. I drank some broth and sipped water all day. I was very worried about getting dehydrated. I was so disappointed laying in bed watching movies when I could have been out in the sun by the river with my dog and boyfriend.  I almost broke the fast with some crakers and then thought how stupid that was. It's hard to break life long habits. You're sick - have some chicken noodle soup or soda crakers to soothe your tummy. Anyway, I came to my senses and just rode it through. Who knows what brought that on and as long as it passed I don't really care. I haven't had many bad days on this fast, so I am lucky about that. I do feel incredibly hungry today so I'm not going to limit my juices. Today I get as much as I want to fill that void.

I also haven't stepped on the scale in two days. I plan on not weighing until Friday, maybe longer. I've read some great posts on that lately and I'm going to take the advice of people who are wiser. Also, I noticed I was doing some unhealthy things like cutting back my juice too much and drinking water for most of the day. No wonder I am hungry. I'm missing the experience by focusing on one area of this journey. I don't want to miss it!  ;)

That's all for now. Hope everyone is doing well and feeling peaceful and satisfied.
