Had an extraordinary day at the Farmers' Market yesterday.
Spent about two hours with Joe Rodriguez, Jr.
AKA Joe the Farmer in the book I am writing.
Had some deep insights into what it feels
like to be working with the flow of life
vs against the flow.
Magic was happening.
As soon as I thought something a number of times,
what I was thinking about walked right up to me.
I am constrasting this with struggling
to get someplace with a group where I do not
feel welcome.
I offered one of Joe's strawberries to old friend
Marcelo and Sandra. She leaned over and kissed him.
Then, when he fed her the berry, the sunny popped out.
I am discovering a new meaning to locally grown,
finding support in the local community.
I am wondering how how I have invested so much
in some kind of Icarus dream to imagine I could
become a best selling author through various pursuing
endless attempts to be befriended where I cannot count
on the support.
I am looking at this.
I am wondering what the Universe is asking of me,
wanting to show me.
I am really being called to stay in down this weekend
to attend the Cultivating Food Justice Conference.
The door had to slam shut where I wanted to go
to force me to look at this.
It is a hard lesson.
I am still making sense of it.
