The Juice Fast, Day 2/7 by Disturbance .....

Grumpiness, complaining, being busy and sweaty, but also a big reason to celebrate! Feel free to comment!

Oh what a day!

Fastwise, I've only had two and a half bottles of water by now (6pm), and four and a half of juice. I'm having a cup of broth now as I almost lost my temper with mobile phone problems. I hate wasting money. Anyway, been busy, left the house around 1330 and returned around 1700, armed with two bottles of juice and one of water. And what a cool trip it was, I NOW HAVE MY LEARNER LICENCE!!! Mum will be so proud! And I can start practicing driving! The photo is a shocker, but it's on there only for a year, so it's ok. So a reason to celebrate and calm my nerves with broth. Oh, and if anyone has ever read "How To Win Friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie, you know how awesome it is. I used a couple of the tricks on the Queensland Transport Office clerk who wasn't exactly sure whether she should accept my application without one certain piece of paper... But she did...! Yippee, I rock!

My housemate forgot I'm on the fast and made omelette and offered me some, not a good thing. I felt like me talking about my fast for weeks has gone on deaf ears. Also my boyfriend, whom I called, still wasn't interested, although I did get him to talk about cleansing for a moment, sneaky sneaky. He's so going on a detox when I move up, like it or not...
But I'm determined to finish my fast AND enjoy it, with or without support. Now I understand why it was mentioned in so many places online, "you might not want to share your experience with friends and family". I took that as bullpoo, but I realise people really aren't generally that supportive on others doing something about their lives, getting to feel better, and doing something unusual. So I'm glad CureZone is here to "listen" to us.

My housemate left a bulk pack of steaks on the kitchen bench (another thing why I'm not happy with him, he bought meat for two "forgetting" I can't have it!), and there's heaps and heaps of eggs he's bought, and organic bread, and... Yeah, it's getting a bit harder, I also find resistance in myself - the idea "oh, I'm REALLY going ENTIRELY without food for a WEEK!" has somewhat passed, but today I've been thinking about food more than yesterday.

Also, my other housemates (the landlord and his missus) are playing The Grates in their bedroom, whom I've always hated, and yep then the mobile phone mess... So this just might be some more of the negative emotions pouring out. Hope so, as I really don't need them, I'd rather let all negative go and concentrate on being happy up in the tropics...!

My skin still seems ok, except from my face, which might be because of the time of the month as well. Yesterday's bath was gruelling, I simply hate sweating, in sports and overall, and I lasted probably 15 minutes and then I just had to have a cooling shower. I'm not sure I'll want to go for it again. But I did have my third enema yesterday evening, nothing interesting, but I'm going to keep it going for the whole week, once a day in the evening.
One thing that's new is that my teeth are all coated. I haven't been watching the situation with my tongue, but the carrot juice is definitely sticking to my teeth.
And, about my general wellbeing, my tummy has been feeling comfortable all day, no buldgyness at all which is nice, a bit like going about with my tummy empty, but not being hungry, as I've been fed. It feels nice, really independent in a way to go without any solids all of a sudden (although, if I leave the house, I WILL have to carry bottles and bottles of juice and water on me which obviously makes me VERY dependent)!

But that's about it for now I guess, will catch up on the water count and then read a nice book, and maybe, oh your god, even watch some telly, which I rarely do (and I'm not even sorry to say that North American TV shows aren't really bright...)

Till tomorrow.

***************

Late update: Didn't get to watch Smallville or any of the others. ;)

Instead, I've been online much of the day, and now I just had my evening enema. Seriously - how much poo can be in a person who hasn't eaten in two days?! It's delighting! And this time I actually feel a bit relieved, so I'm really keeping hopes up for my tummy disappearing a bit more by the end of the week!
I've had trouble having the flush water flow in properly the last two times, the tube is clear but nothing just goes in. Now I might have realised what I did wrong - I forgot to bend forward! I'll see if that works next time. Ahh, I feel like I'm progressing in this fasting thing from a novice to someone who actually has learnt from experience!
Now, time for my late night "towel scrub" and then a "nice" hot shower. Not too long a shower though, as the water restrictions are still in effect in Brisbane. I noticed we've lost some more water pressure in our suburb, probably part of the plan I heard about on the news a week ago.
