Preamble by athina .....

I would say only about 10% realise the benefits over the long term, embrace the new lifestyle and enjoy the mental clarity and beauty of optimal physical health. I want to be in that 10%.

"Day 1"

How funny that sounds!! As if there is a fixed number of days I will take measures to improve my health and wellbeing.

By the way, this is my first blog ever. I've read so many blogs on this site and many others. And all seem to form a particular pattern. Let's see if I got it straight:

1) Blog writer reads about fasting/cleansing in the internet. Blog writer has a history of weight/health problems and feels like this is the solution to their problems.

2) Blog writer prepares for first fast/cleanse, be it a vegetable juice fast, master cleanse fast or raw food diet.

3) Blog writer embarks with much enthusiasm, writes non-stop about their experience, loses many pounds, enjoys the mental clarity and energy experienced on the program.

4) Blog writer (herinafter referred to as "BW") decides to break fast for whatever reason. I would say 90% follow either of the following two paths: a) abruptly breaks cleanse with pizza, feels the guilt and proceeds to pile all the weight back on, or b) breaks the cleanse properly but then allows old habits to resume over a period of time, eventually allowing all the weight to come back. and then some.

5) But my friends, BW is not discouraged!! BW tries again to get that 'feeling' back, goes out and buys all the veg/fruits, maple syrup, cayenne etc... but alas, most do not have the enthusiasm/willpower to duplicate the experience noted above. Failing again miserably, BW drowns their sorrows in fatty, processed, sugary (albeit, quite tasty!) so-called 'food'.

Please do not think I am being condescending towards BW, or any of my fellow Curezone visitors. I do not think this experience is had by the weak and undisciplined! After all...

It happened to me.

However,

there is a minority of BW's out there, I would say about 10% who realise the benefits over the long term, embrace the new lifestyle and enjoy the mental clarity and beauty of optimal physical health. I want to be in that 10%.

Let's do this.
