What did you expect?...Does it matter? by thatzwhytheydie .....

Why are we reaching for answers and blaming ourselves?

Were we conditioned to endlessly discuss and think?...were we conditioned not to act? What you expect at any given moment, can appear to manifest as reality later on...but does this explain anything? How can something that hasn't happened yet, the thoughts you have yet to "create"....be affecting reality in the present? In other words, how can I explain the situation I'm in....with what I've yet to do. I don't see this happening, I cannot hold this as Truth.

I think there are so many who believe in this "get what you pay for" mentality...that this is a problem. This isn't even a problem of mine I suppose, because I'm breathing and am still able to adapt to such an environment. I'm still able to deal with such ignorance....still capable of a response. The dead though, they have no options in this respect. The reason why "you get what you expect" fails to answer anything, is because there is no consideration given to the flip side of the coin... "you expect what you get." In my situation, I'm not looking for the worst in myself...I have only accepted it as appropriate. So, perhaps the worst in myself...even what I consider it to be, is actually a good part?

Retaliation is a "natural response" to some situations...a form of natural healing. When bitten, a dog doesn't simply bark back....that wouldn't make sense. The response would be to bite back now, avoiding more to heal from later. If you expect to find suffering, you will suffer more than likely....I've heard this before. This "wisdom" though sounds more like someone looking back and dwelling on their past for a long enough time, that they simply observed this. People are too often reaching for answers, and...any answer will sometimes do. This isn't an answer, it is more a meaningless observation that has become a popular answer for so many people...so many who are being misguided and brainwashed into slavery.

There are some who no longer have this luxury of looking back on the past for answers, their day to day struggle has become too much and demands too much energy. Survival is then the goal, in face of this apparent need for "answers" ...survival takes priority for the body, answers become trivial. Consider that some people don't just suffer...they eventually come to expect it as well. This is a very sad part of reality, period. It is something that demands explanation, an issue...though not an issue with that individual. "You get what you expect" fails to explain anything here, as it is effectively backwards...try telling some people this in real life, like a whole race of people....native americans perhaps? This isn't going to bring them peace, or provide an answer to why their people were wiped out and the land left behind was stolen.

You come to expect that those who claim to be helping you are actually robbing you and taking advantage of you, because reality causes this conscious thought to come about. Looking back on what has happened and blaming yourself for not expecting something different is blaming yourself, and could very well be the foundation for self defeating behavior. This behavior is heavily influenced by widespread brainwashing..."behavior" something that is commonly thought that people should have control over. Isn't it ironic how little control people actually have in the end?
