Introduction to my journey on juice fasting..

I decided to start this blog about my journey to win the battle of wills against myself by doing a juice fast for 21 days for the reason that I need an outlet to ride out the detox reactions that I am currently experiencing (nausea, dizziness, etc.) and hopefully, to get some support along the way with other people who are also going through the same thing.

I named this blog "The Ultimate Battle.." because that is truly how I feel. I have this love-hate relationship with food and I've been trying to lose weight since I was around 14 years old or so, and now I'm 22. I could never stick to decent diet or a decent program, and my weight would always be on this rollercoaster ride. This could be the last straw for me to find out if I could truly control myself. I am also hoping for this to be a transition (as from what I've researched about juice fasting) to a healthier lifestyle because I'm addicted to chocolate and junk food. Though I know they're bad for me, I just can't help myself! :(

I found out about detoxification when I went to a supposed "health retreat & spa" at one of the islands in my country, the Philippines, to volunteer and learn as much as I can about alternative medicine. Unfortunately, I think the owner was truly deranged for she was conducting detoxification programs for guests who are vulnerable and sick, preying on them for their money. She was not even a certified naturopath and no experts whatsoever were at her "health retreat". Juice fasting, I found out from one of my fellow survivors (hehe!) from the island. I was intrigued and searched the internet for information as to how to do it and such. Thanks to ~Dazzle~ and her blog, I didn't need to go to various websites. I just read her blog and am now doing the juice fast.

I hope I can continue on to 21 days and finally, win. :)
