Day 4--weight loss stats

Yesterday I was feeling very tired and "low" when I came back from classes, and I thought that it's more than lack of sleep--that it was also caused by the fast. But then I took a 1-hour nap and felt completely refreshed for the rest of the evening! So I was "blaming" the fast for nothing lol.

I slept 6 hours and now I have to go to work, I work all day on Fridays at my campus job (career development center, great place). I don't feel completely rested, I could have used a few momre hours of sleep, but it's ok. And I woke up without any of thos eheadaches I sometimes get during a fast. For me, the most important moment of the day is waking up--if I feel good when I wake up, then more than likely I will feel great the whole day. And today I woke up in a happy state and "pumped up", so I know it's not going to be one of those "low" days that water fasting sometimes causes.

I am weighing myself every day, I know for some people this isn't a good strategy, but for me it works very well. It makes me more confident that the fast is working.

When I started on Sunday I weighed 151 pounds. This morning: 147 (remember, I ate dinner on two days, so this is technically my fourth day of fasting). So that's a 4 lbs FAT LOSS :) (and possibly some water) Not weight loss, fat loss!
I know it's not lean muscle because I have continued to weight train, and I can clearly see that my muscles are still there nice and toned :) I am sure that if I stop weight training, I will see a faster weight loss (as in the other fast I did a few years ago), because it will be muscle not just fat, and muscle weighs more than fat. And my goal is to not lose any muscle, because muscle is great to have as it burns more fat :)

So from 147 I have 17 to go until my initial goal, 130. After I get there, I'll see if I should go lower to 125 (I think 124-126 is my ideal weight). At an average rate of 1 pound per day, that means I'll be there in 17 days! I will try to do some cardio in addition to the weight training, to speed things up a bit.

I'm off to work now. I have to write a 5-page paper this afternoon. And I'm going to the mall for 3 hours tonight.

The sun is shining and I feel this is going to be a great day!
