Vacation for a couple weeks by tambee .....

Ready for a break

Date:   6/27/2006 4:23:45 PM ( 18 y ago)

Well, time to pack up the bags tonight and squeeze in one last gym visit before getting on the plane. I woke up this morning and went to the gym before going to work.. and felt to exhausted. Did my half hour run and a bit of weights for my arms. It's a horrible thing that runs in my family... the "chicken flapper" arms. No matter how thin.... the older the women get, the flappier the arms. My 85 year old Grandma is incredibly beautiful , thin and fit for her age. But..... I see where my arms will be headed if I don't concentrate on keeping up the muscle.

The last few days I have been having fruit for breakfast, a cup of low-fat plain yogurt and an apple for lunch and a small salad for dinner. So, keeping really light and low-cal. My clothes fit much better and am looking forward to my vacation, visiting my family and going to my friend's Wedding on the 4th of July. I think both me and my Fiance are excited about the break from our demanding jobs, being able to spend time together and doing lots of outdoors stuff. We will be doing a lot of walking, hiking, snorkeling, and swimming. I will also try to squeeze in some elyptical training and running. Rather than indulging on this vacation, I am planning to keep focused on my goals and come back more fit and energized. Sound good?

The one mistake my Fiance and I make is overindulging with drinking with my friends and eating too much of Mom's home cooked meals when we go back to Hawaii. Gonna make the effort to stay focused and not undo all the work I have accomplished in the last 5 weeks.

Anywho... I wish all you dedicated people out there much luck. And will come back with an update on Wedding planning, my overall summer goals and an update on my accomplishments. Also am going to look my weight square in the eye and monitor that a little closer. I am interested in juice fasting as well..... so will be in touch on that subject.

Have fun!
