Bush Administrations tells Austin to respect environment of face penalties

On another, Hot Muggy day in Austin , Texas. Ozone warnings are once again in effect . Yet, this bicyclist Conservative counted 62
S.U.V.S. ON THE ROAD WITH WINDOWS CLOSED AND ENGINE RUNNING. Most drivers without any other passengers in their car and 62 of them sporting John Kerry Sticker

The Republican led Environmental Protection Agency has told Austin to respect the environment or face fines.
I asked a couple driving a over sized SUV on Riverside in Austin, Texas how they can rationalize their Impeach Bush Sticker, respect the environment sticker and John Kerry sticker while driving their gas guzzling
over sized SUV with the air conditioning going.

They told me to go f myself!

This has been the attitude of many Democrats and alleged environmentalists in Liberal, Austin, Texas.

A city who has been under an Ozone alert for most of the month. Yet, most Austin residents have refused to give up their cars in exchange for a free ride on the very efficient Austin Bus System

ON THURSDAY. OZONE LEVELS COULD REACH THE LEVEL ORANGE "UNHEALTHY FOR SENSITIVE GROUPS" CATEGORY.

ELEVATED CONCENTRATIONS OF OZONE CAN ACT AS A LUNG IRRITANT.
INDIVIDUALS WITH CHRONIC LUNG DISEASE, SUCH AS ASTHMA AND
EMPHYSEMA, AS WELL AS THE ELDERLY AND YOUNG CHILDREN, ARE
PARTICULARLY SENSITIVE TO OZONE AND SHOULD ATTEMPT TO AVOID
EXPOSURE. TO AVOID EXPOSURE, MINIMIZE EXERTION OUTDOORS DURING
THE MID-DAY TO EARLY EVENING HOURS OR STAY INDOORS IN AN AIR-
CONDITIONED ROOM DURING THIS TIME.

This warning and threats of fines by the Bush Administration has fallen upon deaf ears in a city of liberals that have chosen convenience over the health and safety of children and seniors.

I asked one visitor what they thought about he Ozone Warning. Her name was sheila Horton from California. She said. " I have been taking the bus everywhere. The people here
should be respecting their city, not adding to the pollution. This is a very pedestrian unfriendly city"
