I had a wonderful day and a stressfull evening. It all started when my landlord called and wanted to see my apartment to make sure I didn't have anyone living here but me and "the girls"(my dogs Lola and Cupcake). Well, I have my niece(Andrea) and my nephew(Dwight) here. My land lord is a nice guy, but slightly money hungry. I knew if he found out I had two others here he would raise my rent. So needless to say I kind of freaked out. He said he wanted to have "a look around." The first thing I thought of was my carpets. No one can destroy a carpet like a puppy. My carpets were a mess. What's a girl to do? I wanted to cry, I wanted leave work early and clean, I wanted a chocolate croissant! I wanted comfort. But instead I stayed until my shift was over and made a mad dash to longs to rent a Rug doctor. While I was in line I also grabbed a small bottle of absolute(rug doctor is in liqour section, go figure) another one of my comforts. So I came home and shampood the carpets with a dry martini. Not raw. he came by a while ago everything went fine. I fessed up, and he was understanding. It left me wondering why I over react. I had the most wonderful organic veggie lasagna with dinner Cupcake was drooling at the oven. I gave her and Lola a small bite. Funny thing is I remember thinking "wow, this is healthy enough for my dogs" then it occured to me that I care so much about what my dogs eat. I care more about their food than I do about mine. I would never give Lola a dry martini!
