Industry currently produces about 100,000 chemicals, of which 70,000 are proven toxins harmful to humans and the rest have "unknown" effects. Every breath we take... Every move we make... Every label we fail to read... is a danger to our health and well-being. I view label-reading as surveilance of enemy activity. The pretty wrapper on a food item lures me into a cunning trap. In the end, he decided it was fun -- like playing a game that turns shopping into a danger thrill. This may be another attitude to adopt: pretend you're playing a game with "them," where "they" are trying to kill you and you are determined to stay one step ahead of their sinister activities and not let them...
