Day 8, tired of just veggies and fruit by #25671 .....

I want sushi!

Got up at 7 a.m. this morning, which was really hard to do before the fast. Eating only fruits and vegetables with no meat and carbs these last 2 days feels a little like continuing the fast because of the hunger pangs and food cravings. It's time to introduce other things back into my diet. I'm really missing white rice and fish!

Meanwhile, I've lost just a little weight, since I'm slim to begin with. During the fast the saddle bags on my thighs were easy to knead, like dough. Now they're firming up again. My stomach bulges after I've eaten, even though it's just been fruit and veggies. I don't feel the need for coffee to get through my day, like I was beginning to before. I have very little physical discomfort in terms of aches and tired, cranky, unclear thinking. However I don't feel quite as bright and clean as I did after just a two day fast last summer, and I can't figure out why. I'm doing so much more this time!

I have a lot of teaching today, and will be running around between classes. I don't know where I'm going to eat. I'M REALLY CRAVING NIGIRI SUSHI! There's a great "fast food" sushi chain in this country that I love to frequent. But the rice..... Oh maybe a little won't kill me. I can continue with veggies, fruit, juice and wheat grass as well.

IN: Yesterday had oily vegetables and tofu for lunch at a buffet. Later made salsa and ate it wrapped in lettuce for early dinner and midnight snack. And an apple. And about 3 glasses of wheat grass powder. This morning another glass of wheat grass, fresh orange juice with 2 oranges, and stir fried bok choy with green oninon and garlic.

OUT: Yesterday a soft BM about 2 hours after lunch. This morning lots of soft, mushy brown BM with nothing odd.
