Keeping my mind off food, and off him. by #25671 .....

Only a mild headache today and low energy, but not agitated. Can still think clearly. Must keep my mind off food, and off him.

Got up late this morning and blended up an apple for the juice. Skipped the saltwater flush for lack of time but had a decent-sized, solid BM. Thought, "Gee. I don't feel so hungry this time around." Then hit the street outside and all the food carts were calling out to me, even stuff I normally don't glace twice at. The smells of frying meat, soup broths, dumplings were everywhere!

I tutored a student at the Starbucks near her office. Fortunately they have herbal tea. After that I was craving something sweet and went home to make some lemonade with the maple syrup I'd bought ("Organic Medium No. 1"), even though I'm not sure it's the right kind. Anyway, it gave me a real lift, and I went off to teach another student.

I've had a mild headache all day and have felt just a little low on energy. I was a bit winded coming up the steps from the subway station, and couldn't walk my usual fast pace along the street. But I don't feel agitated or anything, and can think clearly. I just drank another lemonade and I feel mildly satisfied at the moment. Keeping my mind off food--which is so comforting--is the real challenge.

As for Jones, I called him last night to apologize for being hysterical and left it at that. He said to "don't mention it." He probably thinks all women are too emotional and hysterical. How embarrassing. Anyway, I don't feel as awful about him as I did yesterday. I also need to keep my mind off him, another challenge.

LATER:
Tonight I blended two tomatoes and dumped in boiling water with sliced ginger, cilantro and sea salt, and sipped in a coffee cup, swallowing some of the cilantro and ginger. About an hour later followed with wheatgrass powder mixed with water, then another lemonade and maple syrup.
