As Adolescense ends,

If there is no effective initiation or mentorship,

Since our culture has "lost"/not honored the Tribal/Ethnic Traditions of Passages (not even death!) many boys have a difficult transition to manhood.

I believe, and this is just my personal opinion not that of Threshold Passages, the Columbine incident was not about guns or depressed children, as much as it was about young men who were having an unsuccessful and difficult transition to manhood.

I think Threshold Passages has some good ideas about mentoring and loving your sons. Protecting their uniqueness and their creative powers!

I am not male, and have not been to any of Threshold's camps, but Lord knows it can't hurt to put the mystical adventure back in the male Soul's existence. If you are a father, or a male who works with boys, it is worth investigating the services offered. It may create space for Soul in your life also!
