HOW DARE YOU is what Greta said to adults at the UN. Climate Strike week is ending today, and nothing changed - DARE TO BE AN ADULT by continuing the strikes, but in your workplaces and so on.

Well that was something to admire and support - the youth's Climate Strike around the rworld for the past week,

 I went to the local high school to see what they were doing, and so I felt like I was doing something about global warming.

"HOW DARE I?" - it occured to me on the way home that I was piggy-backing on the youth's orgainizing abilities to make me feel better. NO NO NO NO!!!

"HOW DARE WE PUT THIS ON THE KIDS?" - they have done more than adults have to move the powers that be to taking avtion on climate change.

The children know what the reality is because they are going to bear the brunt of it, or at least much more than we, who caused it, will have to endure. We are OLD, we will be gone. The kids are fighting for their survival.

It is real - and on our present course of continued record high emissions every year [yes, they are still going up up up], this world is going to be a wasteland for a long time. There will be no "waiting it out in a bunker" - timelines are in the 10s of 1000s of years for the changes to revert to the wonderfully stable climate we had until recently.... no, it still is stable, compared to what is coming.

   Mainstream media has not yet told people about the range of damage that the world is already on track for - we have heard only the mildest of predictions. Try alt news. try "Arctic News" blog.

  Adults must climate strike now - HOW DARE WE NOT?? - walking out of work, stopping business as usual, occupying government and corporate buildings - it is OUR DUTY, even if it is illegal - that only means the law is wrong. WE MUST force our governments and the corporations who tell governments what to do, we must FORCE them to take action to stop emissions,

DARE TO!!
