Being strong in times of adversity by mo123 .....

Even though all my neighbors are breaking Allah's command, I am not.

I find many on curezone do not belong to a certain religion or organized religion as many call them. I find many are so fed up with the bureacrocy of the base of the religion that they just shut the doors and I can certainly understand that one. I was Southern Baptist for many years and I was 4 square before converting to Muslim. Many have tried to convert me and they are all convinced that thru their feeble measures that I will change. I so wish I could post a sign on my forum that says, been there, done that, don't bother.

I am Muslim for 15 years and I am in a place in my life that is happy. I have had many struggles for sure. I asked Allah today why my life has been so difficult and if I told you my true story you would be shocked. Allah reminded me that the journey to heaven is only achieved by the very best.

So each struggle gets us closer to heaven, but not quite to the door. So we have to do another good deed to get us up another step. So we have choices to make. And I made a serious choice and told others what our religion states and they decided to go against the religion and I did not. Here is my story.

The girl who supposedly committed suicide became a non believer when she jumped off the balcony. Now I really don't believe this story but I am saying, if she did this.
I cannot go to the family and make condolences during this grieving period. I can go later and make my Salam to them. She cannot be buried in an Islamic graveyard, but of course she was. So I told my friends to wait a week before visiting and they went and visited today. This is against the teaching of our prophet and I cannot be party to this.
Yes, culture is that we want to comfort them and not let them be alone, but religion wise, I must abide by what my prophet says. This is a harsh way to be but I am so afraid of judgement day. My neighbors are frowning on me but I am sure Allah is not.

Some religions do not agree with this decree that she will go to the hellfire but many do agree. That it is not up to us to decide our death only Allah. So we are against assisted suicide. Now we are also against anyone killing theirself by not taking theirself to the doctor for aide and killing themself with eating too much food and drinking at all or by smoking. Around 90 percent of people smoke in Jordan, not I though. It is frowned on for women to be seen smoking of course.

So today I stand my ground that Allah's way is the best way.
