Winter Journey - Day One by Brookeo20 .....

First day of journey...

So my winter cleansing journey has begun.

I woke up at 8am this morning and started the day off with a salt flush (1tsp sea salt in a small glass of water, followed by 25 ounces of H2O.) Ugh! I then began to make my 60 ounces of lemonade to bring to work with me. I've decided to add the cayenne to each glass instead of to the whole bottle. It's about noon, and already I've had about 4BMs. They started out hard, but are beginning to get softer. I've had 3 cups of the lemonade. I've also been drinking herbal teas. Roobis, and a combo of Peppermint and Licorice spice (not sure if it's a good idea to have the licorice spice, but I guess I'll find out.)

I've always wanted to do the Master Cleanse, and am very excited to have finally started it. I know on completing it I will feel lighter, healthier, energized, and in the right mind frame to keep to a healthy unprocessed diet. Lately, especially this month, I've been having a very hard time controlling my willpower. I've been eating very badly, and have put on some weight. I want to get back to my great eating habits....no wheat, no dairy (less dairy,) no sugar, no white processed foods. I feel so much better when I eat that way. I've just been a little out of controll. But now that I am and will complete the master cleanse, I know I will feel much better and be able to control my cravings. The first 3 days on this cleanse will be the hardest, but I will DO IT!!! I will fast for 10 days, so the 27th will be my last day of fasting. That means on the 28th I will start to add OJ, the 29th OJ and veg broth and maybe rye crackers, 30th OJ, fruit and veg.

I am excited to finally start this journey.
I am working full time, so I just need to be up early to give myself bathroom time. I also will not see my boyfriend until January, so the timing is great. I will supplement my free time, with yoga, reading, writing, and painting.

I am looking forward to this time of reflection and cleansing.
