Day 1

Day 1 again

It's day one, at the very end of the day. After I finish writing this, I'm going to bed. Well, back to bed.

Today I had my breakfast juice, some chocolate hazulnut tea (mmmmm it even smells like chocolate), a mug of veggie broth, and water. Then I went off to classes, with my extremely heavy backpack stuffed full of bottles. Speaking of bottles, a bottle of water from the machine costs $1. A whole 24 case of water costs $5. Go figure. I had an MC drink around 10, then some more chocolate hazulnut tea around 11. (Thank goodness for all the microwaves at school.) I had everything with me, including a little bit of the maple syrup. I wasn't that crazy about it until I realized I was supposed to be buying grade b, so I went out and bought that. It's awesome, I love the way it smells. Reminds me of going to Vermont or Canada, and getting all the homemade maple syrup. Its an awesome experience if you've never tried. Then I was busy busy busy till 4ish, the time flied. Gotta love labs. I don't understand how people can be science majors and hate labs. I think its a pretty good indication that you're in the wrong field. I love building my apparatus and watching the thing drip and figuring out what's going on. Its beautiful. Net story here is that I didn't get my lunch juice until 4. Went home, had some more tea and veggie broth, and also a lax tea. I got my sewing machine out of its box, and read some of the instruction manual. Then I decided to take a nap, and besides getting up for the bathroom I slept like the dead for 4 hours. That never happens to me. I sleep for an hour, maybe too, and half the time my body won't wind down enough even for that. I noticed that I slept more and better the last time I fasted also. That was just three days, so by the end of 30 I should be RipVanWinkle. =) I know my body really needed the sleep too. Most days I get up around 5, if I really want to sleep in I'll get up at 5:30, and I go go go go go until 11 o'clock, sometimes 10. Every once in awhile I can catch a half hour nap, but that's it. And the funny thing is that because of my crazy sleep patterns, I actually feel better rested on 6 than on 8hrs, because I sleep really deeply. If I actually go for the 8 I turn into such a light sleeper, and its not as restful. After my very nice nap I got up, made my dinner juice, drank it straight away, and my breakfast and lunch juice. Tomorrow morning I'll make an MC drink. Those are really really good. I'm going to try to have at least 1 juice a day that I drink right after its made, since I know that's best. With all my craziness though, its just not practical. Its either make my juiced in advance, or no juicing for me.

Not really sure what I'll do with the whole money thing. Its cheaper than regular food, and I'm still in the food budget. Hopefully I'll get down to 2 juices a day, and then just water, tea, MC, and broth. Maybe I'll even cut out the broth. Since its heated all the good stuff is denatured, kaput, but it is a nice comfort drink. And I really really really don't like vegetable juice. The only way I can do it is to use something like squash, and then use a ton of apples and ginger to cover up the taste. Fruit juice is awesome, just not veggie juice. I'm totally stocked up on tea. My boy had a very stunned look on his face when he opened the cabinet, and there were 8 kinds of tea. He's very sleepy and has a headache, and got very abused by me today. I was sooo cranky and stressed, and I took it out on him. I apologized, but he's been half asleep since I got up and I'm not sure that he heard me.

Tomorrow is friday! The end of the week! Hopefully I'll have caught up on sleep so that I can get some stuff done this weekend. Meaning the mountains and mountains of homework that I have to do. Maybe I'll even get to play with my sewing machine. I love having little projects to do.

Hobbies and keeping the mind busy are going to be the keys to my juice fast!

Happy juicing everyone!
