Day 1
already hungry... this can't be good
Date: 7/1/2006 8:33:54 PM ( 18 y ) ... viewed 2074 times After reading other people's experiences with the MC, I figured it would be a couple of days before my body figured out it wasn't getting any food.. not the case. I'm HUNGRY. Drink more lemonade.. still hungry. Drink water. Hungry. I know it'll pass.. my stomach doesn't know what's going on though.
Day One - woke up at 5am with stomach cramps - drank the lax tea last night before bed. Things already moving nicely. Got up again at 8 and did the SWF (note to self - cold water is way harder to chug).. again after reading other people's experiences, I didn't expect it to do much on the first morning, considering I hadn't even HAD a lemonade yet. Boy was I wrong. Right on schedule, 30 mins or so after my first swig of the tasty salt water (it wasn't nearly as salty as I was expecting, I got the French sea salt someone else mentioned - very mild) and things were happening.. Spent the next hour on and off in the bathroom.. here comes the too much information moment - towards the end of my "trips".. things were YELLOW.. like neon yellow. That kind of freaked me out a little, and I couldn't look anymore.
Dinner time.. the true test of my willpower. Roommate made chicken and rice with mushroom soup.. I hid outside on the patio reading a book to try and avoid the smell wafting out of the kitchen. No good, especially when it's Canada Day and everyone and their dog is having a BBQ nearby. Reminding myself why I'm doing this, and how good I'll feel when I've accomplished it..
One good thing though, I didn't spend all day in the bathroom like I thought I would.. just the first hour or so when I got up.. No headaches or anything, just my stomach turning over on itself and yelling at me every now and then. I guess we dont' realize how much of our lives are based around food..
Going to watch a movie to try and distract myself.
