I have years of media experience and even a Masters degree in TV/Radio Production. But I did not need my degree or years of media experience to know the obvious. The Network (CBS) who had the worse TV Anchor for 2 decades (Dan Rather) Dan, as we all remember was not a stickler on news being necessarily fact.
The obvious was that with Katie Couric gone, Today show ratings could only go up.
The second was that Katie Couric is not an intelligent woman and really does not truly grasp the who, what, where, when, why and how of a story. She is boring, self-centered and like Dan Rather believes that the left wing Kool-Aid drinkers hold the opinion that is of the majority.
SO Katie Couric has replaced Dan Rather as the worse TV Anchor in CBS history.
There is always the possibility that CBS can find some unknown person in Texas who can type up ratings documents, photocopy the documents and claim the documents that show Katie Couric’s News Show as number one are real. After all CBS can then just stand behind the documents.
All kidding aside, IN Katie Couric’s defense, all network news is really bad. There are no anchors except maybe for Britt Hume who even has a clue of knowing the facts of what they are talking about. It reminds me a story: When I worked for a certain network in 1999. A Director wanted to discuss the KY 2 computer problem that would be coming in 2000. Yes, he called it the KY2 problem and when I told him it was actually called Y2K. This Leftocrat actually went into a hissy fit and insisted it was KY2. Another person in the studio said “I think it is actually Y2K, maybe you are getting it confused with KY Jelly?” The director immediately yelled out. Who is right the m*o*o*n or me? OF course everyone told the whiner that he was right. The person who took the attention off me had a good stern talking to. You see, in left wing network news. It is not about the truth. It is about making the feet stomping members of their mutual admiration society happy.
CBS is stuck with the fact that their National news is boring, the Anchor has the personality of bad math teacher and CBS is destined to continue to have bad ratings. It is a legacy that was gifted to CBS by Dan Rather and his crack crew that had a history of misreporting stories that date back to the early 1980’s and the CBS 60 minutes debacle when reporting a story on San Diego Gas and Electric. Has the insight to bring it’s own Cameras and tape the 60 minutes interviews in their entirety. 60 Minutes and CBS was outraged that SDG&E
Would actually distrust their crack crew and insult their integrity by bringing their own camera crew. It turned out that CBS did twist the story; take SDGE words out of context (what a surprise). SDG&E got the last laugh.
Lets get a little bit of History of CBS. CBS did a story on GW Bush being a deserter. Although there were no facts. CBS refused to do a story on Swift Boat Veteran, even though John Kerry stood alone with blurred memories. But, CBS chose to believe Billionaire John Kerry over the many fine men who served with Kerry in the Military.
CBS runs stories that totally mock the president and our military. Too many to even list. A former CBS Anchor and CBS Hall OF Shamer Mike Wallace goes to Iran and interviews the leader of Iran. The leader of Iran has called for the extermination of the Jews; he has stated that the holocaust did not happen.
He supports one world religion, wants to destroy Israel and wipe them off the map.
But to Mike Wallace this demonic raving lunatic following in the footsteps of Adolph Hitler is a smart, demure, interesting person, not a danger, but a man who carefully chooses his words.
We must not forget how CBS national News ripped into then Senate Majority leader
Trent Lott for his comments about an good ol boy, redneck Senator. They inferred that Lott was a racist; he was feeding the flame of racism. Yet, the same CBS national news proudly showed footage of Hillary Clinton honoring West Virginia Democrat and former KKK recruiter Robert Byrd. Yes, Hillary Clinton called Robert Byrd the conscience of the senate”. Yes, CBS address the Senator as a former KKK leader. I guess CBS does not believe that the people that Byrd recruited actually did any wrongdoing? Yes, CBS seems to be rather Chummy with KKK leaders and Anti Semites.
Now the Katie Couric nightmare begins. A woman who could not even Host an overnight show at Fox News is given a primetime news show at CBS. CBS is out putting Katie on all their late night shows, everywhere they can. Air America has praised Katie Couric and CBS Decision when the are speaking to their 100 nationwide listeners. The left will do their best job in presenting Katie Couric as the rage. While I am writing this CBS is doing a segment on one of its propaganda shows that are featuring some of Glamour Magazines “Liberal” women of the year.
The “stars” of this Propaganda are Laurie David, the wife of Seinfeld co-creator Larry David. Her pet peeve is “Global warming” So she hops in her gas guzzling limo and travels around the USA to Hug such notable global warming propaganda gurus as AL Gore and his left wing ilk. Yes, the libs were out on CBS. Next was the all-intellectual “Super model. I can remember her like it was yesterday when “Iman
(The original I-man, sorry Imus) blamed Somalia poverty on George Bush Senior and she said she would support “Bill Mc Clinton” for president. Yes, Mc Clinton!
Maybe Iman was having as Teddy Kennedy moment. CBS did not dare bring attention to Senator Kennedy calling Democratic Party Presidential hopeful Barack Hussein Obama “Osama” Yes, Kennedy called Obama “Osama”. Why would we hear that on CBS national news? It was not said by a Republican
But I must give Katie Couric credit for being on top of the story of a Republican Congressman who shared emails of a sexua| nature with a male page. But CBS News People and execs did take time out from that story to hoot and cheer for left wing rock and Roll legend Mick Jagger. We all know Mick Jagger, a legend. A man who was excused by the left for having sexua| relations with then 14 year old McKenzie Phillips. Yes, after getting stoned with John Phillips (another pillar of strength and morals) Mick Jagger took a petite 14-year-old girl. Not to long after American Graffiti, so you can remember how young she looked and how petite she was. Yes, Jagger had to have sex with that young girl. John Phillips awakened and was banging on the bedroom door. Mick Jagger locked the door. But one would never hear about the sick choice made by Mick Jagger and how many times Mick Jagger may have committed the same type of despicable acts with lesser known young women.
CBS Film Crews and notables of the Hall of Shame of National News also were busy looking for information that could possibly damage the re-election of GW Bush. While CBS news was ignoring the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth. CBS was ignoring truth and doing stories on how people like Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul and Mary was out playing and fundraising for the Democrats. Yes, we remember Peter Yarrow. I know I did because we actually dated the same woman. An artist who will remain nameless. The cheerful left was out cheering a man who should be on the sexua| predators list. Another fan of sex with 14-year-old girls was Peter Yarrow who went to jail for his act of aggression against a 14-year-old girl who was maligned and still is by the left. Saying this young innocent 14-year-old gal and her sister were not really after an autograph, but sex. They ignore the fact that Peter Yarrow tried to drag this young girl into his bed while she cried and screamed.

Yes, Katie Couric has stepped into a role that I have to agree. It is tailor made for her personality and belief system. CBS is more than willing to have Environmentalist Katie Couric private jet her way to an interview with another Private Jet fan, Robert Kennedy JR. Grab a couple of oversize limos and then discuss how we are not taking care of the environment. Katie is a top-notch anchor who is willing to give anyone from the Hollywood left airtime. Yes, she loves her mutual admiration society. Thanks to Katie and CBS news. We can hear from people like George Clooney, Madonna, Barbara Streisand and others tell us commoners how we do not care about Darfur and how we need to give more money.
Yes, CBS and Katie will be more than willing to give the airwaves to those wonderful Hollywood elitist who have as many as 3, 4, 5 marriages under their belt
Tell Religious Christians and Jews what they are doing wrong and why they are unhappy in their marriage of 25 plus years.
Yes, CBS could not have found a better replacement for Dan Rather.
