Day Eleven
Stormy days can lead to joint pain, but I'm working on diet and positve affirmations in an effort to heal the whole person.

In that drowsy time between wakefulness and sleep I repeated some affirmations and tried to meditate. When I finally got up I worked some more on personal affirmations, but hit a snag on self-esteem. How odd it was trying to write that I am worthy of respect, health and prosperity when this nasty little voice kept saying "no you're not". Its time to put that voice to rest, I've heard it most of my life and believed it. Now, I know it was always a lie, but its hard to break away from a lifetime of negativity.
The vegetable steamer I ordered from Amazon.com came today. Right now, my system cannot handle raw veggies, so everything is getting lightly steamed. Since its hard for me to stand and cook, the electric steamer is especially nice, and so much healthier than the microwave. I'm afraid the microwave will be leaving the premises soon. Right now my favorite small appliances are the water distiller, veggie steamer and juicer. That's quite a change from the microwave and bread machine from the not too distant past.
The pain has been bad off and on today and my walking is not good at all. In spite of that though, I feel a little better due to the healthier diet and good supplements. There is still such a long way to go though, I need strength.
I was so impressed with the Louise Hay book and CD that I ordered another book, companion book and CD set called something like "You Can Heal Your Life". The only way I could afford it was to order used books, but if that program helps, it will be priceless.
Tomorrow brings the risk of severe thunder storms, large hail and tornadoes. That is not good weather for people with inflammation, joint problems or scar tissue. Since my lights tend to go out every time the wind blows hard, I may not be able to get here tomorrow. Hold a kind thought and prayer for the safety of folks around here.
