Day 40
Balanced and alive would be the best descriptors...
Date: 3/3/2006 3:43:16 PM ( 18 y ) ... viewed 2605 times Today is day 40. I'm doing much better than a couple of days ago. lol :) I have to constantly remind myself of why I'm doing this and what the amazing benefits are.
The best description for me would be balanced and truly alive. No, these are not totally bi-products of the fast, but a good deal of it is a result of fasting. My harmones are no longer causing me to be frazzled one minute and o.k. the next. My body isn't in discomfort, everything is working like it should, especially my mind. I'm clear and focused. I can see why God would call His people to fast during crucial periods, because really you then have more ability and time to just focus on the issues at hand and to really hear what He may be trying to tell you. You know Jesus, Himself, fasted 40 days during a troubling time.
I'm not ready to finish the fast yet. I know I still have a ways to go. I whole heartedly take comfort in knowing this is something I am called to do. Something that is doing amazing things for my body and mind. Something that has already done amazing things for my life in general.
I'm also appreciative to know that there are others out there, pursuiting the same journey. Your support has uplifted me over and over again!
